  1. Bug This might not be a bug, but to me its a bit odd. To recreate: Make a rectangular selection, not in the length to width ratio of 1:1 Then scale the selection so it is in the ratio 1:1 (so it becomes a square selection). Then scale the square selection in anyway you wish by constraining the proportions. Just press the SHIFT key when scaling. I expected the selection to be scaled in the ratio 1:1. But it scales it by going back to the original selection and scales from there. It even happens when i deselect, and hit undo once (hence finishing the selection but making the selection still active). Is this supposed to happen? :? Thanks to Simon for reminding me of this section.
  2. I agree about the plugin directory thing. A start menu would be more suitable. And the bug.. i forgot about the troubleshooting section.. lol I'll edit and make a new topic.
  3. Thanks, but hmm.. i thought i had commented in your gallery before, but i seems i hadn't. :? Better late than never i say. ___________________ I saw that tut a while ago. Great job doing the vanishing point into your block. The vanishing point is more accurate, but if you want some simple guidelines, then you can just render a grid and use rotate/zoom to to make a guideline floor, then use the grid lines to draw. The vanishing point works better though, especially if you want tall buildings and such. Now, all you need to do is shade the block, and maybe make a different shape block.
  4. Nice job. It does look in perspective. How'd you do it. Guidlines or just knowledge of where to put the lines?
  5. PDN's magic wand selects pixels with alpha, but it isn't an alpha selection. Think of a black to white linear gradient, and you want a selection of all the black in the gradient. If this alpha selection was made, then if you filled the selection with a solid red, it would result a red to transparent gradient. Currently this is not possible with selections in PDN.
  6. Make a new layer, fill it with pure white. Draw your line in pure black. If you want a thick line, like in the tut, just increase the brush width. Then using the line tool, taper the edges. Make sure the line is white. Once you've tapered, set the blend mode of the layer to multiply, and all the white will be gone. Blooper made a video on this method. If you ask him then he might share it with you.
  7. Suggestion I think it would be neat if there was an option in Paint.NET to open the plugin directory. It could be something like File > Open Plugin Directory or something. I think it would be a neat idea. [bug removed. Ha!]
  8. Awesome job! You should so make an Olympic rings glossy with it. KIU.
  9. If you have to save it as a jpg, then you can't get it with a clear background. JPG doesn't support transparency. You'd have to save it as a .PNG once you've removed the white background.
  10. You can drag and drop image files into PDN and then you can choose whether to add it as a tab, or as a new layer in the current document.
  11. you don't need a conversion. All you need to do is change the units that PDN uses. You can change it easily by using the drop down thingy next to where you enable/disable the grid&ruler. ________________ @stranger: You could try this. If the drawing plan is in PDN, then go to your primary color in the Colors window (if you can't see it go to Window > Reset window locations - it should be on the bottom left). Click the more button so you can see the extra stuff that makes the colour. Then at the bottom of the colors window you'll see something that says "Transparency - Alpha". Set that to zero. The using the line tool, draw over the lines in the plan you wish to measure. Whilst drawing look at the bottom of the screen and it'll tell you the length in pixels or centimetres or inches. You can change this but changing the unit, which is stated at the start of this post. Hope that helped.
  12. omg.. this is awesome. Better that the last version. Thanks for the awesome plugin man. Suggestion: Maybe add an option to change the distance between each circle too? Or maybe an option that makes the spacing at the large end of the volute big, but as it twists and tapers in, the spacing decreases?
  13. At the top of your PDN screen you should see an option to change the units used (neat the Help menu thingy). Change it to your liking. Then when you draw your line, if you look at the bottom of the screen it'll say the length of the line.
  14. ^ Expiration (expired) made that awesome coffee cup. Kemaru, define a light source on the vase, and then give it spherical shading with dodging and burning.
  15. It would help immensley if you posted a screenshot of what you want to do. You could select the rectangle with and scale the pixels with to make it darker play with Levels, Curves, and Brightness/Contrast. All are in the adjustments menu.
  16. Surface blur. viewtopic.php?f=16&t=26244&hilit=surface+blur
  17. It might be the fact you changed it to "0,700" not "0.700" (notice the comma and the decimal point). If not, then i don't know.
  18. Nice tut, good idea too. However, i think this needs expansion, like the suggestions welsblue mentioned. Then it'll be a great tut. I'd also edit the title so it say "football" not "fotball".
  19. The one you're using is an update to the Oblique plugin. bb00 probably used an older version when making the tutorial. You can still mimic it though. Play around with the X,Y offset and steps factor. (Y = vertical, X = horizontal).
  20. The c4d thing without the dents is great. Really c4d like. Just needs highlights and colour variation and it'll be pretty close to an actual c4d. KIU.
  21. ^ Myrddin, imo this is the more important part.
  22. Nice tut. That bevel method is interesting. I have ideas now.
