You should upgrade the 3.3x version to the latest 3.5.11. Then check the printer drivers are up to date (check the printer manufacturers website). -

Diamond gradient star effect
Ego Eram Reputo replied to Visual's topic in Distortions and Modifications
No, not a transparent gradient. That only adjusts the opacity of regions of the layer or selection. You need to create a white diamond gradient which is surrounded by transparent pixels. The first two sentences in red text are the clues. There are two layers. The lower of the two layers is filled with solid black, the other has the gradient on it. The gradient is made using White as the Primary color @ 100% opacity and the secondary color (any shade) @ 0% opacity. Find these transparency settings in the expanded Colors Window. -

Drop shadow works by adding a shadow to the transparent side of an edge. Thus, you need an edge where there are opaque pixels on one side and transparent pixels on another. If the layer is completely filled with opaque pixels there will be no change when using Drop Shadow. -
I worked at 2x the final size. Once the comp is over I'll post a link to the full sized image - where my rash judgments and poor technique will be revealed! And Pyrochild is between you - a thorn between two roses

Thanks DarkShock! I'm particularly pleased with Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum (I should probably apologize to DrewDale and Red Ochre - but your avatars just fit 'y know? ).
-
I learned C# from pretty much from fiddling with CodeLab. Hands-on experience is a great learning tool. Echoing Red Ochre, I can't speak highly enough of BoltBait's tutorials!

If the problem is the same error there is little that can be done. If the error is different then please report this separately.

I suspect your keyboard is failing. Try the key combination with the keys on the other side. -
Perhaps they manage memory in a different way?

Excellent! Welcome to the forum.

There are no DDS filetype plugins. @Dean Ashton created one a long time ago - this has since disappeared (the functionality was integrated directly into Paint.NET subsequently).
-
Look for this plugin under Effects > Color. Tanel's Color to Alpha can be found in the same location.

My Honda won't win the Indianapolis 500. Please don't ask me to buy a race car I'm just having a laugh (with you, not at you) g200. I think BoltBait and David have answered your question. On the other hand - you could double or treble the amount of RAM you have if you really HAVE to load that number of files.

Please replace the zip in the first thread with the updated version. Users expect to find the plugin in the first post regardless of the versioning. Thanks. -
Smoke/Fire/Flame effect help?
Ego Eram Reputo replied to espinmc's topic in Paint.NET Discussion and Questions
My first impression would be to try a combination of Furblur and Curly Lines plugins. -
Wasn't mocking you mate, just pointing out that the King of Paint.NET (by your own admission) found AM somewhat difficult to master. Yet when you write tutorial it is brilliantly clear and concise. Writing my book I learned a great deal. I'm therefore encouraging you and Barbieq to collab on "the beginners guide to Alpha Masking".

CodeLab...Palettes
Ego Eram Reputo replied to doverdemon77's topic in Paint.NET Discussion and Questions
You can compile your own palette using a text editor as Paint.NET uses a simple *.txt file to store palettes. Alternative: Modify the default palette using your new colors then export/save it as a different palette. See http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/2947-color-palettes-go-here/ -

Ain't that the truth! Once you select a different hue as the primary colors the plugin works it's magic. Well done
