You are Welcome - I'm glad that Plugin worked for you. Perhaps someone else on the forum can explain why you can't see the DDS after you downloaded PDN. Maybe it's the system you are using? Or .............. Gremlins ?
-
No, you are not wrong. You should have the plain DDS in the drop down: It is a mystery why it's not there for you. Did you download Paint.net from the website here?
-
Thank you @MJW I have downloaded this and, hopefully, this will be useful for a project I'm working on
-
@Meridiano Welcome to Paint.net Have you downloaded the correct Plugin? If not, it can be found here:

Is there a way to make a mask overlay?
Pixey replied to marek jedlinski's topic in Paint.NET Discussion and Questions
@marek jedlinski Welcome to the forum. Yes, as @toe_head2001 says, the Alpha Mask is the way to go. Don't forget to Copy the white lines to the clipboard, before you go to use Alpha Mask on the flattened layer. EDIT: I think the reason you are having some trouble is because the lines are white. Please read an explanation here, by Kemaru, about the Alpha mask: So, for another way to cut out your flattened blue layer is to: 1. Have your white lines on a transparent layer. 2. With the magic wand - select the white lines ...... i.e. marching ants around the lines. 3. Switched over to your 'flattened layer' with the nice texture - invert your selected white lines, then hit delete on your computer. 4. You should be left with just the textured lines. -
Large one click multipacks for plugins
Pixey replied to SilverDragon82's topic in Paint.NET Discussion and Questions
@SilverDragon82 Welcome to the forum You say you're having trouble adding Plugins to your folder? Do you have the Store bought Paint.net? If so, you have to make the Folders yourself. " You just have to install them in a different location. Go to your Documents folder, create a folder called “paint.net App Files” (no quotes though), and then create a folder for each plugin type: Effects, FileTypes, and Shapes. And then put your plugins into each folder just like you’re used to with the Classic release." As for Plugin packs with the installer - that will depend on who uses the installer. Older packs will probably not have that option. -
@Tom Blikstad Welcome to the forum I hope these steps will help you to crop out your photo.

@lynxster4 It is perfect - love it to bits

@richshow Welcome to the forum This is just a shot in the dark, but when you click on the T for text, you then have to click back onto your layer and then begin typing. Hope this helps.
