I made an avatar which looked great just after I made it: but then I had to resize it and it doesn't look as good: How does one keep the sharpness after resizing? Or should one make the avatar real small from the start? Any tips much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Blooper & Nigel - glad you liked the boot (I wasn't sure if we were allowed to have fun and post funny pics)...... I'm still shell-shocked from the other day :wink: I have also realised that there are some "young uns'" on this forum who may have forgotten their manners. I just made myself a new sig, below, to reflect: 1. No biting of newbies as well as to show, 2. How, thanks to the great tutorials, I have learned so much in a few days. This is a great website and Rick Brewster is so clever.

I was told to post back in the tut area (and it was suggested I get my thread deleted) but, after reading your rules you don't want general chatter in the tut area. What's a newbie to do? Hi, I'm a newbie (so please don't bite) and I was wondering how to change my user name. Thanks!

I am so confused I want to scream! But, I'm practicing away and have the first few steps down OK. 1. insert pic 2. duplicate 3. Add new layer, create box & fill in black, rotate box. After this I get all messed up as I'm confused with the instructions: select black box and select 2nd picture to invert? How can you select both at the same time? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks! BTW - Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
