  1. I advise you to read this post: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=3151
  2. First upload it to an image hosting site. There are several; but I use http://imageshack.us/ My signature is hosted there. If you want to upload several images, it is loot easier if you create an account. It is free. Then copy the address surrounded by tags. And paste it into your post. That is one way of doing it.
  3. I use the Bezier curve 99% of the time. So I would very much like a setting to choose between: 1. as now. 2. Always Bezier. 3 Always normal.
  4. Having two pictures visible at the same time. Like you can have two documents open at the same time in Word, and split them vertical / horisontal? No, I don’t know of a way to do that in a normal installation of Paint.NET. I don’t think it is possible. But; you can have two pictures open at the same time and easily switch between them. And you can have two pictures in separate layers. If you turn the visibility of the top layer off and on, you can compare them. And; you can adjust the transparency of the top layer so you can sort of “se true” it. Thereby comparing them. Not what you asked for, but a suggestion.
  5. Thank you. I used the old one from your DA. But that had some problems with the scroll bars. This one seams to work fine. [hint] Remember to update the one on DA[\hint]
  6. Welcome to the forum. Your question: viewtopic.php?t=23727
  7. How big and detailed is your picture? The bigger, the longer time it takes to load. I have used this on 6000 x 4000 pix. And, yes. It dose work rather slow, but I gees that is to be expected.
  8. If auto-save forces you to stop working on your computer, say every ten minutes, it will soon become annoying. And sometimes you are just experimenting, and don’t know if you WANT to save what you are doing. So, if I get auto-save; please give me a possibility to turn it off. I would rather say, try to make computers not crash. A dream; i know; but anyway.
  9. No, there isn’t. But look in this tread. There is probably some information you can use. viewtopic.php?f=15&t=2492 And while you are at it. Your tread name is rather generic. That is mentioned in the rules as "not so good." So take a look at them too. viewtopic.php?f=20&t=3446 #6
  10. If the folder isn’t there, try running the plugin once. And then look again. Some of these plugins create the necessary folders themselves when they are used.
  11. Very good point. At work i sometimes have to work with Danish keyboards on US language computers, and the reverse situation. Ash would probably consider that a teaching nightmare. Like the previous posters I also would have liked one or two shortcuts deferent. But as they say: You can’t make everybody happy all the time.
  12. Try to make a new transparent layer and draw some lines with deferent value of transparency. Then run the plugin. That is how I made it “do something.”
  13. The strange thing is that sometimes, something happens when using this plug-in on a border to a transparent area. I just can’t figure out the way that works. I have been doing some experimenting on 100 / 50 % transparent lines, and are trying to figure out some workarounds. But I would be very happy if this plug-in would some day handle transparency. Anyway, thanks for this plug-in. It is just me that have to learn how to use it. Add a black or white background to whatever you're using (the more contrast the better), smudge, then use alpha mask without loading anything. Check invert mask. Although that leaves a white outline, but that's as good as it gets for now. Thanks. Didn’t think about using alpha mask that way.

  15. Run the plugin once. Then it will automatically create it in My Documents\Paint.NET User Files\Custom Brushes. For information on how to install plugins look here: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=2023 http://boltbait.googlepages.com/install
  16. OH MY GOD. This is just great. Thank you so very much. Edit: Ran into a thing to bee careful about. #1 Use smudges in on layer on a multi layer PDN. #2 Pres OK #3 Go to a deferent layer and hit ctrl+f. This makes the smudge effect SUBSTITUDE the original layer with a copy of the layer from # 1 and #2. Not a bug, but something to be aware about.
  17. I agrea. I try to avoid that the Effects menu or submenu has to scroll. So please make separate dll’s. And the tool tips would bee great.
  18. That is the way Paint.NET works. It is a bitmap editor, and can’t change the text after it is finished. There is however a plug in that might help you. Take a look at this. viewtopic.php?f=16&t=24685
  19. Change the title of this tread to something more informative. Like “Help with blending images.” The reason for that is to bee found in the forum rules. Always a good read here. Then try to post an example showing what you want to make. There are many ways of blending images.
  20. :?: DA downloads works for me. But then i had two versions. Had to remove old dll.
  21. Some people, like myself, have a tendency to avoid signing up to forums they can’t view before signing up. So we would probably gain some members from hiding the forum; but also loose some completely. And the forum contains loots of rescues that it would bee a shame to hide from the world. But I give you. If people like Paint.NET, then why not sign up to the forum and just become a low key member. You don’t have to post regularly. Just occasionally. That is what I did.
  22. It would be possible to create one in the form of a canvas plugin. Oh, yes. I stand corrected. But personally I am waiting for V 4.xx.
  23. True. It has been requested and discussed before. viewtopic.php?f=12&t=3486 I don’t think this is possible to implement in a plugin. Still a good idea though.
  24. There is not really a ”read this and you know everything about Paint.NET.” My suggestion is; run true the help files. You dont have to read them all, just so you know your way around in them. Then go into the plugin forum and figure out how to install pugins. viewtopic.php?f=16&t=2023 Then try a tutorial. Any tutorial you like. Most of then are actually quite easy to follow.
  25. Sometimes i give my drawings numbers when i save them. And then I increase the number now and then to keep older versions, if I am doing some experimenting that I might not want to keep. So, yes, a second “save” button that puts a number after the file name, and increases it from the previous. But I fear two save buttons would bee more confusing. I se it as a “nice to have” But not top priority. I am quite satisfied doing this by hand.
