Well, at the moment i CAN get on this forum. But i have now and then over the last 24 hours been met with a page telling me that the account was suspended.

I always use the Bezier curve, and could simply not do without it. So thank you for putting it back in.

The easy way is to save the image, and use another program to put up the wallpaper. If you don't want to save the image: That other app http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?showtopic=13005 can put ONE layer in to IrfanView. http://www.irfanview.com/ IrfanView can put up the wallpaper. And IrfanView can open pictures in Paint.NET if you want to. ;-)

Correct, i later discoverd i had a pending reboot.

For some reason it didn't. I started update from Paint.NET, and it started upating NET 4.0 NET 4.0 just closed, and nothing more happened. I opened Paint.NET and asked it to look for updates, and it found V3.5.5 OS is Windows 7

Just a heads up. After .NET 4.0 is downloaded and installed, you have to manually restart the process of installing Paint.NET.

I don't think that is possible as a plug-in. But let me add my vote to this feature request. I know that there was a workaround using BoltBait's feather tool. But i am not sure if this will work in the new version.

There is certainly some new things to get used to. Well, i will manage. I see the point in having the forum at a dedicated server, and thereby better control.

I had the same problem on a new Windows 7 pc. I noticed it looked like it was the oldest files that had the problem. The once that may have been saved in a previous version of Paint.NET. So I tried opening them and re-saving them. That seems to help most of the time.

FYI Unless there is some kind of universal translator involved; that site is in Danish.

:?: Blur ONLY works on the selected layer. (And selected area.) I think that goes for anything else, exert resizing.

It would need some VERY clear rules about what kind of requests is allowed. Some people can request things that are not quite “family friendly.” I have a ”no requests” on my DA for that reason.

Start by making 4 copies of your picture. Then do some experimenting with what you can find in the “Adjustments” menu. When you have made 4 deferent variations you think is cool; you make a new blank picture 4 times as big as your original. And then copy; paste the 4 other. I am not a”code guy” but i don’t think it is possible to change the selection with a plugin. So that is more likely to be a feature request. Increase or decrease a selection by a number of pixels. That may be useful. As for BoltBait’s feather plugin; I am a huge fan of it. I often use it to increase the size of an object into a transparent arrear. But as you point out; it is blurred. I have started to wonder if it was possible to turn that blurring off and on. And how that would work.
