GenTree: Generator of Trees & Branches (YMD:100725)

Recommended Posts

I've noticed that too. I have been trying to update my dates to YYYY-MM-DD format when I update plugins.

I'm just nice like that 8)

So an International Norm should be created:

- for MM-DD-YY

/ for DD/MM/YY

_ for YY_MM_DD

and 07_06_05 will be correctly read 5th june 2007!

You should rename this plugin because it not only Gen trees.

It can Make lightning, cracks on surfaces, veins, etc...

Very useful.

Thanks 8)

Thanks for the new release MadJik :)

As a recursif process, it could be similar to a fractal generator.

Are every recursif process a fractal generator? IDK!

Yes, it's true. :)

Would it be possible for the "trees" to come out not only from the bottom?

But also can be from Top, Left or Right?

Or even the upper left, upper right, bottom left, bottom right?

Thanks for your time!

Add a new layer,

Ctrl+G or Ctrl+H to rotate the image,

draw(generate) the tree,

rotate back Ctrl+H or Ctrl+G.

BTW I often experiment Ctrl+G,Ctrl+F (repeat last effect)...

Work in progress situation (before vaccation)

tree2.jpg

I've changed my mind for this plugin and instead drawing each pixels, I'm using Polygons.

It's allow the use of gradients.

As it uses a self-recursive process, it could need a lot of CPU/Memory (or just time) depending on the settings.

You have to click on 'Preview' to run the renderer to update the image (or check 'Auto-update').

Test it, play with it and let me know.

New plugin GenTree.dll

Here is the zip for the DLL

Advise: Save your work as often as posibly (in temporary folder if you want...) this plugin is still work in progress!

No risk to use it if you have a backup...

VERY NICE!! :D

However I will also keep the old dll, and use both of them.

They look quite different.

To be honest, I'm still having some trouble getting it to draw what I want... Madjik, you're a genius, but king of the UI you are not. :P

Which part you have problem with?

I already have the latest update for this plugin. Nonetheless, when it is run, even with the default or different settings, the end-product is a very short Y-stump which doesn't grow with different settings. Wonder if its a problem for others too as I don't see too many users posting their creations.
