BierDav Posted November 17, 2021 Posted November 17, 2021 The plugin doesn't work on 4.3.2 After I followed the installation instructions it simply didn't show up. I have found out that the new paint.net Version breaks many plugins. Please fix that this tool is so useful Quote

Make sure you have the latest version, and make sure you don't have the OptionBasedLibrary files in the main app folder. They belong in the Effects and/or FileTypes folders (depending on which plugins you have installed). chatbubbles Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 When zoomed in on a high resolution image (roughly 10000x6000), this takes several seconds longer after clicking OK to apply color transformations compared to using the Curves tool and occasionally I am seeing artifacts which seem to occur where window elements were overlapping the image. Using the latest version of the plugin with 4.3.7. Quote
midora Posted January 12, 2022 Author Posted January 12, 2022 Hi @chatbubblesyou are right, the plugin is not optimized for speed. It falls in the same speed category as the built-in Clouds. The final output to the screen is done by paint.net. I never got artifacts. Quote
Reptillian Posted January 23, 2022 Posted January 23, 2022 Why are the last column there if they're greyed out? Quote G'MIC Filter Developer I am away from this forum for undetermined amount of time: If you really need anything related to my PDN plugin or my G'MIC filter within G'MIC plugin, then you can contact me via Paint.NET discord, and mention me.
midora Posted January 23, 2022 Author Posted January 23, 2022 As far as I remember 😉 You need a 5x5 matrix to allow translation. This also means that you have to add a dummy value to the color vector. It makes no sense to allow modifications to the last column, because the dummy element of the result color vector will not be used later. Quote
fas_33 Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 The ReadMe file included in the download from the first post says: "Copy the two files OptionBasedLibrary vX.X.dll/.dlc to the Paint.NET\ folder (not to the Effects folder!)" Leaving the OptionBasedLibrary in "Documents\paint.net App Files", the program did not add the Menu / Adjustments / Color Matrix option; the Settings / Plugin Errors pane was empty. After reading through this thread, and finding the quoted post above, I moved the library to the Effects subfolder, which fixed this behavior. I suggest amending the ReadMe in the download to have instructions valid for Paint.net v5+. Quote

There was already a note in bold red text on the first post of this topic warning you to place the OptionBasedLibrary files in the Effects folder. I've modified the post to strengthen this and added red text to the Installation Instructions. Quote
Rick Brewster Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 Do not copy plugin files into Paint.NET's installation directory. It will not work. Quote The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html
