If the latter, all you need to do is set the Brush size and off you go! Maybe there is a way to add a data input field that will allow for setting height/width to the xaml code of the various Shapes that will go beyond that of just Arrows that Davet suggests. I'm thinking a single click + modifier key to stamp the shape onto the canvas at the size specified in the XML file.
