barbieq25
Thanks everyone. I have to admit it did come out far better than I could have imagined. I`m quite chuffed with this one. Barbie - I tried using the Circle Text plug in but in the end I found it easier to just do each number on a new layer and rotate & move them into position myself. It took longer but I think it was worth it in the end. Yep, I got that impression too. I did a cut/paste/new layer/merge with some of the numbers on the speedo because it looked just too yucky. Next time I will know better. Ah, hindsight - wonderful isn't it? Circle plugin is good for my jewels though. Miss doing them. Flat out with the Martians. Quote Knowledge is no burden to carry. oma
That Galileo tribute is great!. I like the placement of the planets, and the textures are so good. I had to squint to see the little moons? but why does only one have a shadow? the stars are realistic looking. overall its a great piece. thanks for sharing your artwork with us. ciao OMA Quote My Deviant Art Gallery Oma's Paint.Net gallery

Goonfella
Thanks very much Helen,Soka and Barbie  Oma, to answer your question about why only one moon has a shadow, it`s all down to the angle of the lighting and position of the moon. The smallest and nearest one I believe would have a shadow but as the slightly larger one is a bit further out from the planet the direction of the lighting would prevent this. Here is a photo which explains what I mean better. Take a note of the position of the moons. As you know, I have trouble with lighting angles and perspective, it really helps to see your work and then see an example of why you did something in your image. Awesome image man ! Great job.
