  1. 12 members have voted, 3 votes per member = 36 votes cast but a quick count only shows 30.
  2. @Xerizon by posting "when a slot is avilable " you showed that you did not read the rules as this is not allowed and using the excuse that you live in a different time zone makes no sense as we all do and we all have to make allowances for that. Don't take this as a rant just to you but this has been happening for months now, one of the reasons I stopped entering. If you wish to challenge me enter your sig now and lets battle.
  3. Firstly this battle going on now is illegal, both enteries were entered while a battle was going on, extremely rude if I might add. Here is a copy of the rule on page 1. To start, make sure a battle is not currently in progress, and then enter a signature. Then someone else will enter with their signature, and the battle will begin! Good luck! Too many people are ignoring the rules and just posting "Someone battle me" a battle can only commence when one has finished and a battle can only finish when someone gets 3 votes., please people read the rules on page 1 before posting. Secondly when voting you must update the scores in your post and give a valid reason for your vote. Is anyone still running this comp ? if not I will put myself forward for host. Also as the current battle is void as per the rules I will enter this and await my challenge.
  4. I don't think so but there is a grid maker plug in and here it is- http://forums.getpai...?showtopic=4175
  5. How about just expanding the history window and taking a photo of it or press the print screen button then open a new canvas and copy it on to there. You can then save as a jpeg and put it in the corresponding project folder.
  6. I would of thought just using EFFECTS>ARTISTIC>INK SKETCH would be the way to go. A few variations done by duplicating the image and running ink sketch on it and reducing opacity and also turning top layer B&W running ink sketch and then running alphamask at default or inverted.
  7. I personally would use the method described above but if you do not have the alphamask plugin you can use the magic wand. to make the image only show on the circle and not the transparent area. 1.Paste your image into a new layer 2.Select the background layer and using the magic wand tool click on the transparency area. 3.Now re-select your pasted in layer and hit ctrl+X To do it the opposite way so that the pasted in image only shows on the transparent areas and not the circle just move the pasted in layer down below the circle layer. Or do the 3 steps above but after you re-select your pasted in layer hit ctrl+I ( this inverts your selection ) then ctrl+X Note the magic wand tool will only select all the transparent pixels if they are connected, so if you had a ring instead of a circle hold down the shift key when you click with the magic wand this will then select the transparent pixels outside the ring as well as inside.
  8. Here's mine. Stock used http://0.tqn.com/d/a...tomandjerry.jpg
  9. @NN79, sort of but I would of kept the original background for the inside of the frame ( the pinkish deserty one ) and had the ocean as the main background.
  10. Great works, truly inspiring, as others have said the highlights and shading are among the best I have seen. Another gallery where I can't choose a favourite piece as they are all so good.
  11. LOL I was worried there I use rotate/zoom a lot as well.
  12. Thanks NN79 and one of your works inspired me Wonder what it would look like if instead of a black background on your sub pic it had an ocean or even spacescape?
  13. If the sig is on a transparent background and all you want to do is make it darker why not just go to Adjustments>Hue/saturation this can be used to change the blue to anyother colour and also how dark or light it is. Adjustments can be found at the top of the paint.net screen.
  14. I'm not going to do your work or evgirls work for you that is what the search function is for, the only difference between this and the may tuts that show how to put an image inside text is the background she uses. New users should be working through tuts rather than posting them
  15. Sorry if I offend you but this tutorial is too simple and has been done many times before, check through the forum to make sure you are not repeating someone elses work first. Also as a new member I would suggest working your way through tutorials rather than writing them. Again no offense meant.
  16. @yellowman, Thanks for the comments. My monitor at home is a bit dark and the buttons stick so its very hard to change the settings, I am at work now and just viewed them here and I agree way too many stars.
  17. @Helen I agree looking at it now I wish I hadn't posted it, still its all a learning process. My 2 newest ones both have elements I like and both have bits I hate but thought I would post them anyway. All 100% PDN SPACE 1 SPACE 2
  18. Jim you should also post the pics in the relevant tutorials so more people get to see them and get inspiration from them.
  19. I too like orbs ( looks at avatar ) there are plenty of good tutorials here about making them and you should try and give all of them a go and get a good feel as to what makes them look like they are glowing/shining. I believe Helen has done tutorials for them and barbieq has done some on her shiny jewellery, combine both for fantastic results.
  20. You could also move the selection to a new level fill it with black and save it as a .PNG then use it as a mask with the alphamask import plug in. This is probably quite close to what you are already doing but gives the advantage of a much cleaner finish.
  21. I always wondered if it was something that just got overlooked although I am pretty sure it had done it before under certain situations.
  22. Love the new pieces especially Autobisection ( I like it so much I have stolen it to use as a wallpaper on my PS3 Hope that is OK ) It reminds me of a snake and I find it quite hypnotic.
