  1. Scaling up in multiples of two will likely cause the least distortion. Is doubling too much?
  2. Which plugins specifically are you trying to install, pls? I suggest letting it be saved to the Downloads folder as a first step.
  3. kjw1522: It may be helpful if you can give some more info. What OS version are you using? XP, Vista...? What specifically have you tried so far? And what happens/doesn't happen when you do that? Just in your own words, pls. .
  4. You might want to make a new screenshot showing the problem in v.3.51 and post here: Link Removed.
  5. Blooper: You haven't mentioned whether you have updated to PdN v.3.51.
  6. Your guess is probably correct, EER. However, I'm not totally ready to assume that there isn't a previously installed, now forgotten, and presently obsolete .dll in FileTypes that PdN is drawing on while the new .dll sits unused in Effects. In any event, naturalp will know. We don't at the moment.
  7. If you did, in fact, do that, then an easy fix may be to move the .dll to the FileTypes directory.
  8. Windows XP - PdN v.3.51 ------------------------------- This doesn't reproduce for me. Can you zoom in and do a screenshot of the problem, to post?
  9. Are you moving the object (pixels)? Or moving the selection?
  10. Your original white image is in the folder where it started from, a copy of it has been merged with the black layer. Give it a try. No cutting out is needed.
  11. Here's one way. Make a new layer and fill it with black. Merge your icon down onto the black layer. Fill a new layer with the color you want the icon to be. Use the black and white layer as an Alpha Mask and apply it to the color layer. You will need the Alpha Mask plugin. The mask can be re-used to make different colored copies of the same icon, if you wish.
  12. Pressing Ctrl D will deselect, if that's what you mean.
  13. LibbyH: Please post some more images soon. I like colorful things. =============================== The Stock Images link goes nowhere.
  14. The only simple fixes that come to mind are if you're luckily making a simple mistake, such as, having a selection active and trying to clone stamp outside the selection area, or, having the wrong layer active. Probably not the case. Repairing and/or reinstalling the NET Framework, or repairing Paint.NET might work.
  15. Here is some info on layers. http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/WorkingWithLayers.html
  16. So, if I understand correctly, you had v.3.36 on USB and copied the Paint.NET program folder to this system without going through an installation process on this system? The error message is wanting - G:\Documents\Downloads\Staging Do you still have that folder on the USB, and was it plugged in during the installation attempt? ========================================= Missed your previous edit, glad you got it working.
  17. Any progress with this? Have you had a try at installing the newer version 3.51?
  18. Hi lars-sh: I've linked to this from another thread, and there have been a number of downloads. May be too soon for feedback.
