I am having the same problem and I have done all that was recommended.

This is the same error message I have received after auto-updating your program. During the installation everything works fine up until the last point where the progress bar will stop and will then reverse its process and tell me a fatal Error has occured and the installation has been aborted. I followed all of your previous suggestions to help fix this problem, however All versions I have tried to install have sent me the same message. I never had any problem until this newest version came out. I downloaded the Clean up software but the Paint.net never shows up to be removed. the only . Net that comes up is the .Net Framework. Any idea's? Below are some screenshots of what I am encountering.: I have done what was asked and still no results...
