  1. There's this explanation: Re: Out of Memory
  2. To get an empty outline of the label, Magic Wand the white surrounding the label. Next, Edit > Invert Selection. Make a new layer. Then, Outline Selection with a Width of 1. Delete the original label layer. Save as PNG. ====================================== Outline Selection
  3. Congratulations Yellowman and Blackpenny.
  4. Median is now my friend. Thanks
  5. Could you post some examples of the sketches that need cleanup?
  6. Yes. But, based on this thread it may not be as fixed as he thought.
  7. This link may be helpful re: using 7-zip to extract the Ed Harvey zipfile.
  8. When a file is closed, History is lost. If the file is saved and closed while flattened, layers cannot be recovered. Best to save first as a .pdn file, then save again as .dds with a different filename. (This way you'll have two files, a .pdn with layers, and a .dds for rFactor.) =============================== Metallize is part of dpy's plugin pack.
  9. No. Paint.NET doesn't have a Draw Opaque function that can be turned on or off. It isn't needed because Paint.NET has layers. I'm going to guess that you are working above a white background layer. (If I'm guessing wrong, you can ignore the rest of this.) When you move a selection on the new layer it appears that there is a white box however the white is merely the background layer showing through. What is actually happening is that you are moving an object in a "clear box". The alpha is part of the selection and moves with the selection. When moving a selection on a layer, the selection applies in overwrite mode. To avoid this, make the selection, copy it, paste into its own new layer. When it's moved on its own layer the alpha won't overwrite what is on the lower layer.
  10. All that is just to turn the top line white. So, it's blocking the lower red line from view and blending with the white background.
  11. At what step do the lines disappear (leaving only white)?
  12. Here's a tutorial for a similar idea:
  13. Okay, that sounds like a good use for Clone Stamp. . Here's a link to the online Help file: http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/en/index.html The Help file can be accessed from Paint.NET by pressing the F1 key. Here's the page that deals with cropping to selection: http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/en/ImageMenu.html
  14. Looking at your screenshots I noticed that your command is lacking the numeral 3, that is in the command that muntealb gave as example. Don't know if it's relevant.

  16. Yes. Make your Lasso selection, apply BoltBait's Selection Feather plugin effect then: Image > Crop to Selection. Save as PNG. Clone Stamp can be difficult at first. Here's the Help page for it: http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/en/CloneStamp.html After you have set the anchor point, the next left-click of the mouse sets the relative angle and distance of stamp point to anchor point . That remains constant until you reset the anchor point. So, the anchor point, where the image pixels are being drawn from, trails along behind the stamp point wherever you move the mouse. ============================================== I'm concerned that you may be using clone stamp for a task that has a better and easier way. Could you explain in more detail what you're using Clone Stamp for here?
  17. Yes. Illnab1024's Alpha Mask Import plugin has it. It would be very nice to have to use with the displacement function.
  18. I have found your plugin to be very useful. Use it regularly. Load Mask from Clipboard would be a valued feature, if it's possible. This code may be relevant to that. Re: Load from Clipboard
  19. If you do have the box on its own layer, click inside the box with the Magic Wand, (without holding down the Shift key) then press Delete. The white inside the box will disappear. The black box and the white outside of the box will remain.
  20. Barbara Mc, Could you say exactly how many fonts are failing to show in Paint.NET? Also, are any of the problem fonts expensive commercial fonts? It might be worth making a list of all the problem fonts and Google searching each one. If they are all fonts available as free downloads from sites like dafont.com, then there should be no worry in deleting them and downloading new files to replace them.
  21. This thread has the most common solutions:
  22. Paint.NET doesn't have the Draw Opaque function that MS Paint has. It isn't needed because Paint.NET has layers. ============================================ On the black-and-white layer, press F4, and set the Blend mode to Multiply. ============================================ Here is some info on layers. http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/LayersWindow.html http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/WorkingWithLayers.html http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/BlendModes.html .
  23. You could use the Magic Wand on the white while holding down the Shift key. Then press Delete on the keyboard. That's assuming that the black-and-white part is on its own layer.
  24. I believe that the author of that plugin is username: Bleek II
