  1. Can you give more details on the not working?
  2. These threads cover the most common problems/solutions. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It may be worthwhile to run sfc /scannow http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html ========================================================================= Another thing that you could try, is to uninstall NET Framework 4.0, then re-install Paint.NET. NET 4.0 is not required, the NET Framework version built-in to Windows 7 is sufficient for Paint.NET v3.5.5.
  3. The download link for this plugin is at the very bottom of the first post in this thread. Click where it says, Twainable.zip ----------------------------------------- Inside the zip is a readme.txt that explains what to do.
  4. If you paste the Lasso selection into a new layer, then you can apply an effect like Feather Object or AA's Assistant to soften the jaggy edges. Feather AA's Assistant
  5. Ray, It's good to see that you have solved this. This is liable to affect other users of Windows 7. Can you provide a link to a tutorial on how to do the registry edit for registry size unlimited?
  6. It's difficult to know what to suggest. I know that you have tried many things, but I don't know what those things are. I don't know whether you have tried installing to a different (non-default) directory, or if you have run sfc scannow, etc. If you can post a list of what you have tried, it might be easier to spot a possibility that has been overlooked.
  7. Doing this may (or might not) help. The linked to post shows the font cache file for Vista, Windows 7 may vary.
  8. If you press the Esc key after pasting, can you draw then?
  9. One thing that I observe on the web page linked to, is that the circle drawn is always formed with an odd number of pixels as diameter. This allows for an even number of pixels on either side of both the vertical and horizontal center lines. Your posted image is on a 16x16 canvas, even numbered. When I make a circle to fill a 16x16 canvas it tends to be asymmetrical. When I make a circle to fill either a 15x15 or 17x17 canvas it's always symmetrical.
  10. If you upload the image to imageshack.us, and use the code provided by imageshack as code for the web page logo image, does the image show properly? As opposed to uploading the file to your website's server?
  11. Part of the Selection tools in the BoltBait plugin pack.
  12. Open up a full size canvas, then make a sig sized/shaped rectangular selection in the middle. Apply Outline Selection at a Width of 8. Then blur at a radius of 8. Use Rectangular-Selection/Delete to trim most of the dark from the right side and bottom. Duplicate the layer, then rotate the layer 180 degrees. Reposition until offset as in the example.
  13. That's a pretty nice view from your deck.
  14. The specific steps needed will depend on what you want to do with the two images. Do you want them side-by-side? Is one a full size background, and the other a smaller image to be added onto the background? Something else? --------------------------------------------- In any event, you can open Paint.NET, then import each image on its own layer by using: Layers > Import from File...
  15. tanstaafl, I don't have my printer hooked up, so I can't check this. Take your example 2x2.5 inch image, and then expand the canvas to 8x10 inches. (Anchored in the Middle) Image > Canvas Size... With the Print Dialogue set to 8x10 will it print your 2x2.5 image right-sized? -------------------------- (If it does, you owe me a free lunch)
  16. Hidden Content: Hiding Use Full Editor Drag the mouse across what you want to hide, Then: Other styles > Hide
  17. It probably does matter which one is renamed. Don't know which would be the right one, and this doesn't always work anyway.
  18. Navigate to: C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\Staging Renaming the .msi file in the Staging folder to the filename/number shown in the error message may allow the upgrade installation to complete.
  19. Check these threads first: ================================================================ Did you forget to attach the picture?
  20. Reinhard, What version of Paint.NET are you using? Current version is v3.5.5. ============================ Try running PdnRepair: Program Files/Paint.NET/PdnRepair.exe Then turn off and reboot your PC.
