  1. Congratulations, Yellowman Possum Roadkill j.d.melek
  2. You can upload the image here, and I'll work with it a bit to see if I can make some worthwhile suggestions. http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php Just PM me the download link that the site will give you.
  3. So, I'm guessing that you added - Shift - Tab to the end of the macro sequence that I posted.
  4. Jillian, Any chance that you could post an example photo?
  5. Just to clarify, my previous post is specifically tailored to the requirements of zapplication.
  6. In the top menu: Image > Resize Checkmark in "Maintain aspect ratio" Change the larger dimension to 1920 pixels. OK Save As... JPEG. Adjust the Quality slider until the estimated size is below 2.0 MB. Save, and verify MB size.
  7. Definitely cool text. Thanks for the tutorial.
  8. pyrochild's Borders and Shapes plugin. Make a square selection, the outside diameter size of the circle that you want. Set "Shape" to Ellipse. Borders and Shapes Click on the text that says: Download from box.net
  9. tsm, Just to clarify some things. Do you , in fact, have NET Framework 3.5 SP1 installed? What OS Service Pack (XP) level do you have installed? Will Paint.NET not save as any filetype?
  10. jadrake, Google search "Macro Recorders" Make a macro to perform the following actions from a single keyboard shortcut of your choosing: Copy (CTRL-C) New Image (CTRL-N) Enter Ctrl V Save AS (CTRL-Shift-S) Tab J So, if your macro shortcut is two keystrokes, but will eliminate twelve keystrokes, this would save you 450,000 keystrokes.
  11. Try running PdnRepair: Program Files/Paint.NET/PdnRepair.exe Then turn off and reboot your PC.
  12. Open the main picture in Paint.NET. Import each smaller image one-by-one. Layers > Import from File... The smaller image will import into its own new layer, in the upper left corner. It will be selected and the Move Selected Pixels tool will be active. Use the mouse to position it away from the canvas edge. Press the Esc key to deselect. -------------------------------------------------- Use pyrochild's Outline Object plugin to add the borders. Set the Width as you like. Color white. For a rectangular image, checkmark Angled and Both Sides. Run the plugin effect twice, once at zero Angle, once at 90.00 Angle. -------------------------------------------------- For a circular image, run the plugin effect with Angled and Both Sides not checked. Afterwards, use dpy's AA's Assistant at default. ============================================== Outline Object Click on the text that says: Download from box.net --------------------------- AA's Assistant Click on: Download dpyplugins5.1.zip
  13. jdanniel, One way to do this, is to make a new (transparent) layer above the background layer. Fill the selections on the new layer. Press F4 and set the layer Blend mode to Multiply, and adjust the Opacity slider.
  14. There is the OptiPNG filetype plugin that will reduce PNG file size. OptiPNG file type plugin
  15. Thanks, chrisco97. ------------------ I find that I'm using this more frequently since posting the tutorial.
  16. I do understand that you would like to have this as an automatic feature of Paint.NET. As a work-around, with this example, you could Magic Wand the white at a low tolerance, then Invert Selection and Crop to Selection. This would leave the object in a rectangle of alpha. You could add the white back on a lower layer if you want it. Alternately, if you will be saving as JPEG anyway, the alpha will fill in with white on save.
  17. Enabling MSI logging as in this link may be helpful. Enable MSI Logging Win7
  18. Thanks for this very useful plugin. Suggestion/Request: I would like to have Mix Alpha checkmarked as default.
  19. If you switch to Antialiasing Disabled it clears right up.
  20. The answer to that will vary depending on the specific image situation and what you want to fill in with. If you want to fill with a solid color, use the Paintbucket tool.
