HOW TO INSTALL PLUGINS/General Plugin Troubleshooting Thread
Sarkut replied to RaveN's topic in Plugins - Publishing ONLY!
Feather Boltbait plugins: Download the zipped file to your Desktop or Downloads folder. Open the zip by left-clicking it. Copy/paste the plugin files to your Effects folder. ======================================================= Best to install plugins with Paint.NET closed. -
That link is very old - it goes to the paintdotnet.12.forumer website, now gone. An old tutorial by MadJik. There are a few fire or flame plugins that might be useful for trying to recreate the outcome.

With images this blurred about all you can do is some faking-it style editing. Make new eyes from scratch, add some sharply detailed bristly fur using Smudge with a coarse brush, etc. http://www.LupiUpload.de/images/2010/06/18/6d6478393f78c707cecff6e63ff629a85f379f9f.png

Save your work. Close Paint.NET. Then: Try running PdnRepair: Program Files/Paint.NET/PdnRepair.exe Then turn off and reboot your PC. -
Looks good. Now add some images. If they are oversize, you can thumbnail them or post Direct Links.

No. It's just good to know the rules, generally.

Sarkut replied to eph1v3t8's topic in Paint.NET Discussion and Questions
eph1v3t8, If you can post a link to the actual image you are editing, it will work towards getting the best suggestions to help. (Full resolution file is best.) -
You can upload the image files to: http://imageshack.us/ And post the "Direct Link" URL.

Yes. The exe and dll go in the "file types" folder. If Paint.NET was open when you installed these, close and re-open it. -

How to Slim a Face [from a photo]
Sarkut replied to Jillian's topic in Paint.NET Discussion and Questions
Okay. I'm making this last post so that David.Atwell won't chide me about giving technical advice by PM without sharing openly for others' benefit. Have had some success working with the two images. The facial thinning was done working at the right side of the image, using the PointWarp plugin at various positions and settings. http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?showtopic=7684 The double chin was de-emphasized by adding shadow to the whole under-chin area. A brown shadow skin-tone was acquired using the Color Picker tool. The Line/Curve tool was used to draw a line under the chin, and the whole area filled. Layer Blend mode set to Multiply and Opacity reduced. Minor blurring and adjustments with Alpha Mask. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For the too shiny face. To eliminate the shine I used the method in this tutorial. The Subterranean Copy/Paste Blues Unfortunately, her skin tones were difficult to match. Nearly every copy/pasted piece needed saturation and lightness adjustments. I found that copy/pasting/feather-objecting the original shiny areas into new layers above, and reducing the opacity added a bit of normal soft highlighting without the appearance of shininess. It also helps mask the poor skin match in some places where the shine was eliminated. -
How do I mirror an image?
Sarkut replied to supersoni183's topic in Paint.NET Discussion and Questions
Duplicate the layer. Layers > Flip Vertical or Layers > Flip Horizontal ---------------------- There are other ways. -
On my Vista 32 bit system, the file would not save as PNG. However, using the OptiPNG filetype plugin, it will save as PNG.
