  1. Sure. I'm not completely sure how we can do it using IndirectUI. You need a load/save option.
  2. @ Yellowman - you're in TROUBLE now! I used an XML file to load and save the History in WhichSymbol+. I'm sure all the other real coders would have a neat serialization solution rather than use my brute-force approach. However, I'd be willing to help as I was reading up on this just yesterday - I'll send you a link to an article which you might find illuminating.
  3. Really nice image p0th3ad! It's a little large for the forum - I've edited it to be a clickable thumbnail.
  4. Try Bulge (Effects > Distort > Bulge). Note that you can alter the effect by making offset selections around your logo (you'll need a larger canvas). If you wish to get more tricksy, there is always the excellent Liquify. If you're OK replacing the existing text, try one of @dpy's text formation plugins: dpy's plugin pack
  5. If the answer to presets is "no" - then why not give the user the option of load/save the UI settings via XML (e.g. Shape 3D)? At least that way they can save all the settings in one go.
  6. Another option: WebP (Wiki this). We have a plugin for the filetype: here
  7. You might as well try it. I have no idea what it will do.
  8. The plugin is five years old - so it's perhaps not surprising that it feels a bit ancient. Feel free to publish your own plugin to add the new functionality you desire.
  9. The pdf or ebook versions of the Plugin Index lists all the dll's and the plugin packs.
  10. @Lockz: I recommend you seriously consider making the map in smaller segments. You could use two halves (at 10,000 x 13,332) or even four quarters. The reason is that the memory overhead for such a large image is going to quickly overwhelm your system. Roughly, your very large image is going to need 3gb of RAM + 1gb for each additional layer. See: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/8606-out-of-memory-to-loadedit-an-image-read-this-first/
  11. Hi JustinDrowned - welcome to the forum I've split your post out from the thread you originally posted in. It make better sense to have it here where we can try to help you. I think what may have happened is that your crash is unrelated to Paint.NET and in trying to diagnose it you're come across an old crash log for Paint.NET. To diagnose the problem further - please post the contents of the crash log here so we can see what's going on.
  12. September Update Seven new toys for you to play with this month! Scintillate - @Red ochre. Alternately inverts the colours of an image in a tiltable pattern. At small scale the result is a migrane inducing tiled moire style pattern. Slightly larger scales mimics a half-tone effect. TR's Alpha Cutter - @TechnoRobbo. Set up to 512 points around an object to define a mask. TR's Coquin Graduated Filter - @TechnoRobbo. Apply Jean Coquin's graduated filter. A simulation of the 1970's photographic effect. TR's Film Stock - @TechnoRobbo. Mimics photgraphic film speed (ISO) by reinterpreting the contrast in an image without losing the dynamic range. TR's Smudger - @TechnoRobbo. Smudge, smear and blend colors in the layer. Requires that you hold the CTRL key to smudge. TR's Str8Edge Tool - @TechnoRobbo. Smooths out jagged edges on a Cut-Out. TR's Strobe Motion - @TechnoRobbo. Simulates a stop-motion effect as if continuous motion was captured in a series of images as illuminated by a strobe light.
  13. I've promoted "Self Sculpture" to the Galleria. I had to - I nominated it Congratulations Dug.
  14. I've just promoted your Soda Can to the Galleria. Congratulations Yellowman!
  15. I would take the photo again. Your product deserves it and it would be less noticeable. A viewers eye can be incredibly difficult to fool.
  16. In order save an image for reuse on the web we have to determine what the image is being used for. Simple graphics and animations can be saved as a GIF. More complex images can be saved as a PNG or optimized with OptiPNG to keep the file size down. Photos should be saved as JPG for regular viewing, say on a webpage. Archive quality images, where reproduction quality is required, should be saved as a PNG.
  17. You really need the double image to create the 3D effect. You could try faking it with these: Anaglyphs or Color Aberation Then there is autostereogram technique (link in my sig).
  18. Have you compared those with Edge Fader Extreme?
  19. http://www.dotpdn.com/downloads/pdn.html Yes it will automatically take care of the existing installation.
  20. Then my original answers stands. Press Ctrl + Z repeatedly to until the flattening operation is undone. Once the individual layers are again visible, use Save or Save As... to save it with the original filename and pdn format. I don't understand the workflow that has someone Saving As... a JPG then continuing to edit the original file. I think it would be better to do this: 1. Press Ctrl + Shift + F to flatten the image 2. Press Ctrl + A to select all 3. Press Ctrl + C to copy the selection to the clipboard 4. Press Ctrl + Alt + V to paste the selection into a new image. (Now you can save the new image in any format you like.) 5. Returning to the original image, press Ctrl + Z repeatedly until the flattening operation is undone so the editing can continue.
  21. I don't understand this. Are you saying that the application closes when you perform a Save As...? If I'm wrong - can you tell us exactly what Is closed?
