  1. Gidday acctingman! Welcome to the forum You already have the map? Ok, this plugin pack contains an effect which pixelates an image into hexagons: Ed Harvey's plugin pack Alternatively, this plugin will create the pattern so you can overlay it on your image (add a new layer for the pattern)Hexagonal Grid
  2. It's been noted many times before: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/27664-do-something-about-the-misleading-download-pages/ http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/27550-misleading-download-add-with-possible-virus/ http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/27517-dumb-question-which-link-do-you-click-to-download-the-program/ http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/27383-mypcbackupcom-and-downloadsnappycom-links-sleazy/
  3. Plus: Love the tree and the top text. These two elements look like they belong together. Minus: To me the "Ethically Trading" text does not gel with the overall design. It's characters are upright, rigid and formal. The opposite of the style of the "Gaznik" text. Try a hand-written type of font in simple black?
  4. You don't have to add an Alpha channel - it's already a component of each and every pixel in paint.net. Simply place the text on transparent layer(s) and save it in a format that preserves transparency. Totally ninja'd by 'noob.
  5. No the old version. You've not "officially" released your v4 pack to the public (via the plugin thread) - so there will be lots of users still holding the old version. I'm not making any judgement calls - just listing what works and what doesn't. When v4.0 comes out we can be a little prepared for the flood of "this plugin won't work" type posts. I may even post a list of incompatible plugins with advisories to upgrade (where possible).
  6. Added Filtered Black And White - Ed Harvey Fire.dll IncreaseLocalContrast.dll
  7. You can't open that file because it's simply too large to be held in memory by paint.net. More memory would help of course. It's cheap and easy to install. If you can open to original template you should be good to modify that. Alternatively - some nice person on the forum might do some editing for you and simplify the imge so it is smaller. Post a link to the file and see what happens.
  8. Try this tutorial: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/20764-pictures-side-by-side-before-and-after-images/
  9. You're welcome gaz9012. Good luck with the logo.
  10. No it is not possible. Once the line is committed to the canvas it is rendered as a collection of pixels on the layer. The Line/Curve tool has no knowledge or memory of the previous lines drawn. If you placed your lines on their own layer it would be a simple matter to delete the old line and redraw it. Alternatively, a line on it's own layer might be able to be manipulated or distorted usng other tools. If it shares the layer with other image elements you will have to do some complex selection to restrict the distortion to just the line. This is the power of layers. Get used to using them and you will wonder how you ever did without them
  11. I'm not sure that the fill styles have changed between versions so I have no idea why you don't like the interface. Can you be more specific? What you have posted appears to be a fill style. Select the tool then look in the Tool Bar for a dropdown list of the different fill styles. There are several that look similar to what you've posted. Remember these fills use the Primary and Secondary colors.
  12. I think you had it correct with the first link pdnnoob Background Rose TR's EFX on the rose layer
  13. Now that is a NICE effect! Love the video tutorial - it makes it so clear how to use this plugin. Thanks for the plugin and the source!
  14. Paint.NET does not have line justification because it is an image editor and not a word processor. It has no idea where your margins are - so justifying text is not possible. If you really need those types of tools, do as pdnnoob suggests and create your text in a word processor before importing it as a screenshot.
  15. The Plugin Index is stickied in the plugin section of the forum. What more do you suggest we do? The tutorial was posted in 2009 when the forum was hosted at another site. I've updated the links in the tutorial to point to the correct location(s). Polar Inversion is included in MadJik's plugin pack - you didn't find it because you were looking in thew wrong menu. Look under Effect > Distort. MadJik states this in the thread where you found his plugin pack. No one accused you of anything. We pointed out that the offender is doing something illegal and advised you to get your plugins here. If you find a broken link please let me know via PM or post a message in the same thread. Like all the Mods and Admins here I'm a volunteer - I donate my time to try and assist. I generally fix broken links within 24 hours of being notified. Download @dpy's plugin pack and unzip it. Copy the file named CircleText.dll into your paint.NET/Effects folder. Delete the rest of the files - although that's a shame because @dpy has some excellent plugins in there.
  16. I'd go greener still from #2. This would give it a friendlier flavor. The darker green of #2 is a bit stern.
  17. @cycoshas: Please DO NOT post links to software pirates. The so-called plugin pack you linked to is illegally redistributing plugins without permission. I've sent them a "cease and desist" message. Be aware that it is ILLEGAL to redistribute plugins without the express permission of the plugin author. NEVER download a plugin or plugin pack from anywhere but from this forum.
  18. It's the older version which is not working: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/6305-optipng-file-type-plugin-november-30-2008/ The one Welshy linked to by Mr X is fine.
  19. Really? I guess need to do another update. I didn't think OptiPNG had been updated for ages. Although there are two versions. Thanks Welshy.
  20. Interesting idea, however I personally think the level of permission required is appropriate. You are adding potentially dangerous *.dll files after all.
  21. System.OutOfMemoryException.... you pushed it too far with the number of images (their size would have been a factor too). It would be interesting to know how many images and their dimensions. If you fancy trying to replicate the crash...
