  1. Don't be afraid to agree with me Goony - in fact I recommend it
  2. Unblock the whole Zip file using the same right-click technique. I've not tried this, but apparently it works.
  3. Agreed. While paint.net cannot do a lot of tricks that Photoshop can, it's a wonderful and very powerful piece of software. Please consider donating (via the paint.net website) to support it's continued development
  4. TechnoRobbo asked you not to redistribute modifications. That includes publishing the source on this forum. If you wish to collaborate with TechnoRobbo - please Private Message (PM) him rather than posting in public.
  5. Unblock the zip file before you extract the contents. The 'unblocked' status should persist through to the dlls.
  6. We always suggest Photoshop to people who cannot seem to accept that paint.net is free, and not actually Photoshop.
  7. This cannot be done. Paint.net's developer limits access to these areas. They are off limits to plugins. If you're after powerful batch processing try IrFanView.
  8. What version did you create the file with? What version are you using now? Have you tried running PdnRepair? You'll find it in the installation folder.
  9. BoltBait was correct. Paint.net does NOT ship with anything else. If you got it from the official web links then your malware came from another source.
  10. Then it will fill the entire layer, obscuring any lower layers.
  11. You probably clicked on one of the ads on the website. The correct link is in the top right corner of the website http://www.getpaint.net/index.html
  12. Ouch. Let's hope you didn't fall for this: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/28270-megalo-virus/ Go HERE and download yourself a fresh new version of Alpha Blur.
  13. Never speak to this 'Tech' again. He's talking rubbish. SP1 is an easy and free update to Windows7. Get it via Window Updates. No, paint.net will not mess with your backups.
  14. Without an active selection, the Gradient Tool will fill the entire layer. Make a selection first using one of the selection tools. Then apply your gradient.
  15. Did you have a selection active? Press Ctrl + D to make sure nothing is selected.
  16. Upload the image at a file hosting site (ImgUr or PhotoBucket, etc...). Post the URL here. Someone nice might just help you out by posting a palette from the image.
  17. @KevR: Can you post the contents of Settings > Diagnostics > copy to clipboard? It may help the developer identify the source of this problem.
  18. Change. It's good for you It's not such a leap to have the mouse outside of the selection - it's much clearer that way too. You've got to be kidding. It's built-in. Several other tools use the same functionality (the new Shapes tool).
  19. This set of plugins are (mostly) incompatible with paint.net 4.x. The author is still logging in to the forum, so we hope an update is going to happen. Until then I suggest you remove the pack from your Effects folder and try to find a manual workaround.
  20. What framework are you publishing through? I'm surprised that any publisher wants a PDF over a image file format. Amazon requires PNG or JPG for example.
  21. I hope that's a Planetoid planet.... That's quite breathtaking Skully.
  22. Rick announced the Win7+ requirement on his blog back in 2011 http://blog.getpaint.net/category/update-news/page/3/
  23. Settings > Updates > Check Now There is no 'help' menu in pdn4
