  1. Tried toggling Num lock on the keyboard? Try this: 1. open paint.net & select the Text tool Click in the middle of your canvas. 2. Press & Hold The Alt key + use the numeric pad to type 0169 Release the Alt key. Copyright symbol should appear. Does it? If that doesn't work, try #2 again with the Num Lock toggled.
  2. Actually - I'm not sure if that can be changed. Umm.... Why would you want/need to?
  3. ?? If you browse a symbol font (wingdings et al) it will show the symbols. See the screenshot in the WhichSymbol thread. Another option is to use Charmap.exe to identify a symbol and then type the code into paint.net when the text tool is active. Specifically.. Using the text tool you can hold down the ALT key and type the four digit code. Release the ALT key and the symbol appears.
  4. Download and install the font. Then download and install my WhichSymbol+ plugin (link in my sig). The plugin is basically a font browser. Use it to navigate through the installed fonts and pick out a symbol. Whatever you select is rendered to the active layer (NB: one symbol at a time)
  5. Hey HurdArt. Welcome to the forum. We have a rule against replying to old posts: please don't. If it's not a tutorial or plugin, and older than three months please resist the urge to reply. If you wish to restart a discussion - just start a new thread. Thanks! The user Ryan739 hasn't been on the forum since 2008 - so you're not going to get an answer. <locked>
  6. 1. ScriptLab might help here. 2. TR's PseudoSnap will help you snap stuff to a grid of your choosing. 3. Smashing Magazine gives away awesome font packs for free http://www.smashingmagazine.com/tag/freebies/c I also like these: http://zurb.com/playground/foundation-icon-fonts-3
  7. The thread is almost four years old. Deleted? Nope. Locked? Yes - in order to keep things current.
  8. They're fine - just a bit confusing. Top slider mimics the outer ring rotation on the globe. The setting on the third slider is maintained i.e. its a rotation about the central pivot of the globe itself. See how just the globe rotates when this is used? Middle slider = 360 degree rotations of the globe + axis. This too maintains the setting in the third slider. This slider makes the globe roll around like an eye in a socket. Bottom/third slider = radial angle 0 to 90 degrees. It's the same as an eyeball looking straight out or sideways.
  9. November Update Eight new plugins for paint.net users to enjoy. ENTIRELY FREE! Facet - @Red ochre. Reinterprets an image by turning it into a height-map-like facsimile composed of crystal/pyramid shapes of various heights. Interchange File Format - @Martin Osieka. FileType plugin which loads files in some of the IFF file formats. No save option is supported. IFF is a container format which may contain numerous data types (images, animations, documents, audio, video, ...). This format was used on Atari and Amiga computers in the 1990's. Radial Fade - @Rei. Gradually fade an image to transparent from the center to the edges (or vice-versa). The transparency gain over distance to the center is modulable, as well as the circle size. Saturation RGB - @ReMake. Separately adjust the saturation of the red, green and blue color channels. Toggle Alpha Channel - @wbeard52. Modify the alpha channel by resetting the Alpha value (subtracting the alpha channel value from 255). CodeLab source code included. TR's Intense Filtration - @TechnoRobbo. Color filter and color augmenter, with options to set the hue, gain, intensity and also to fade in the changes. TR's Paste Frame - @TechnoRobbo. Custom frame maker which uses a clipboard image to create a frame. TR's Third Dimension - @TechnoRobbo. Turn 2D Images into 3D Images and Terrains where brightness becomes the apparent height (the Third Dimension).
  10. Am I correct in thinking that your templates are a PSD (Photoshop) file? And you have downloaded and installed the Photoshop plugin to open the files?
  11. ^^ this.Should paint.net also have a prompt when you fill a region with green? Just to check you actually want green and not blue? I'm thinking users need to accept some responsibility for what they ask paint.net to do. That said, I've never seen the popup our Questioner mentioned. If it does exist in the earlier version I see no reason why it should be disabled now.
  12. Paint Bucket tool = Find the icon in the Tools Window or press F. Once the Paint Bucket is active, look in the Tool Bar for fill styles if you want something other than a solid fill.
  13. Just wait until I get hold of you....
  14. I'll place a link in the first post - indicating the updated dll's.
  15. My entry in the SOTW (Bank Cards) is too large, contravening the stated rules (max 200px high). This is entirely my fault and I should like to withdraw from the competition.
  16. My entry is too large ( > 200px high ). I didn't read the fine print closely enough I should like to withdraw.
  17. You're making excellent progress! I think both versions of Halloween are significant improvements.
  18. I think I may be in time.. An older image that is 100% PDN.
  19. All file formats or just TIFF? What happens if you save as a PNG for example?
  20. We have a new version of paint.net out since this thread was started. That's one of the reasons the forum insists that topics remain current <closed>
  21. How about uploading the file so we can try and diagnose the problem?
