  1. Ohhhhh - so pretty and delicate. What a lovely broach and I'd sure wear it on my red winter coat .
  2. Very, very clever @TR with the morphing and I look forward to experimenting with this .
  3. Thank you @Remake - this is an interesting Plugin and gives nice results .
  4. I'm confused now! Can we use either plugin, or a combination? I already removed my initial entry (which I made a while ago) as I wasn't sure if it was just Red's Plugin. Ta .
  5. A super musical pack @lynxster . We will have to have a concert
  6. @kml - Yes ...... it does take a long time and remember practice makes perfect. I would suggest you do not try to do too much at first, as you will become frustrated. I think you should stick to doing a few tutorials over, and over and over. Then you will get a feel for how things work. Here is a link to some video tutorials made by one of our members known as @Yellowman. Although they are made with older versions of Paint.net, the same principles will apply. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=PDNing Good Luck .
  7. Hi @Nai and so glad you are back with us. Very nice tutorial - thank you. Here is my attempt.
  8. Edit: Didn't use the right plugin with the first posting.
  9. Gosh - I can relate to those feelings when I first began to use this program. I wanted to do so much and really became very frustrated. Herewith a quick tutorial which I hope will be of help. 1. Using the Line/Curve tool draw the flower. Make sure all the lines are 'connected' so you can use the Magic wand to 'select' the areas of the flower later in order to color the stalk and petals. 2. On a New Layer use the Line/Curve tool (#2 brush strength) draw the flower outline, then use the magic wand to 'select it' and fill it with the bucket tool. Do the same for the stalk and fill it with the same green you used to draw the outlines. 3. When you fill the flower head and stalk with the paint bucket, the color will not meet the lines. Now you must duplicate and merge down each layer until the color looks good. 4. Gaussian Blur both the stalk and the flower head 5. You can also adjust the strength of the color you have made thus far, by lowering the opacity in the layers window. 6. With the magic wand 'select' the flower head and make a New Layer to add contrast/highlights and then Gaussian Blur. 7. Make a new layer and add lines to give some depth. Gaussian Blur. 8. Use the Lasso Select to make a selection of one of the petals and with white make small dots in the area - then use Frosted Glass to make the glitter. 9. Use AA's Assistant on both the flower and the stalk. 10. Select the flower head with the magic wand and make a New Layer above it. With a large size brush add another pink color just around the base of the flower and then Gaussian Blur. Change the layer mode to something like Color Burn. 11. Once satisfied you can then flatten the whole image. It's always wise to keep your work in .pdn as well, so that you can return to it and make changes if needed.
  10. Congratulations Seerose and Eli and runner uppers . What a beautiful array of entries. Thanks Drew .
  11. I have Picasso on my computer, but have rarely used it. I found it a bit too complicated and will not miss it. Thanks for the heads up though .
  12. I think you may have to color the flower yourself, using different colors on new layers and adjust the strength of the colors. Take a look at this tutorial, especially Step #9 which will show you how to use layers and add colors: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/28343-how-to-paint-mangaanime-in-paintnet/
  13. A simple way could be achieved like this. 1. Upload your image - resize if necessary. 2. Go to Effects - Photo - Soften Portrait. On the example I use, I pushed the knobs all the way to the right. 3. Then go to Adjustments - Hue/Saturation and play with the sliders.
  14. Please read this: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/18128-photoshop-psd-file-plugin-newest-version-200/
  15. This is where I suggested you look for the 'Repair' in the Paint.net Program Files:
  16. Ahhh - yes, so much easier doing the above steps than the tutorial. I too had forgotten about that plugin. You could also add a white border on a new layer and change the mode to get an interesting contrast. I used 'difference' to get this: Difference Plain
  17. Hello and Welcome. Perhaps this tutorial may be of help ....... just make the rectangle/square fit more closely over the image: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/107031-glass-pane-newer-edition/
  18. Have you tried OS/Program Files/Paint.net/Pdn Repair ?
  19. Just like to say a big thank you to @Drew, in advance, for hosting ............ especially this week as it was a bumper crop and probably a pain to upload so many images. Thanks a million and here's to you
  20. Love the note book pages - what a great idea. Also ....... the swirls are just gorgeous - they really 'pop' out of the page .
  21. It seems only fitting that TS should appear in TR's 3rd D comp .
  22. You are most welcome. A few points about flattening. 1. If you save to .pdn then you save the layers, in the last order you had them, and can use them again at a later date. 2. If you flatten and save to jpeg, png, etc.... then no layers are saved. 3. If you save to png, you retain the transparency of the layer.
  23. Thank you - but I'm eating the goodies too ...........
