  1. I don't know if this is any use to you, but it's worth a look:
  2. Welcome to the forum @Reged To begin with, please try going to 1. OS (C:) – Program Files – Paint.net – scroll down to the PdnRepair.exe and run it. 2. Please check all of your Windows updates are up-to-date.
  3. Is this detector from Paint.net? If not please go to the Cog wheel, top right hand side of the PDN canvas, and click on Plugins and see what comes up.
  4. Welcome to the forum @S4M31 1. Are you using the store version of Paint.net or the Classic version? 2. Which version of Paint.net are you using? With Simon's Plugin pack, in particular the AnimGIF goes into the File Types Folder and not the effects.
  5. As far as I know, this is a problem with File Explorer and not Paint.net (but I may be wrong too). It may be worth looking at this: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/file-explorer-working-on-it-message-on-new-pc/26db85ec-8808-414c-bfe0-d8ce46f27c94
  6. Welcome to the forum @TedBlew I'll try to explain as easily as possible 😁 1. If you save this as a .jpeg the background will show. 2. If you save as a .png the small irregular space will remain transparent. 3. Remember that if you post the .png image with the transparency, that part will take on the color of the website, or wherever to post it. I hope this makes sense. I always get myself into knots when I try to explain this 🤣 jpeg png
  7. Object of the Fortnight #60 - A Barrel Some Examples Tutorials: One and Two Please note that your wood/metal must be made in PDN Special thanks to @toe_head2001 and @Ego Eram Reputo for being the theme generators The deadline for entries is 2.00 PM EST 7:00 PM UK Time on Saturday 25th July 2020. Please see the Countdown Timer for exact time remaining. This thread is for posting competition entries only. If you're not posting an entry, please don't post here. Don't use another image editor. Don't use stock images/photos/textures (in full or parts thereof.) 3. Max dimensions are 600 x 600. 4. You may modify or replace your image until the deadline. 5. Three entries per entrant are allowed. Please make a separate post for each one. Many thanks to @toe_head2001 and @DrewDale for launching and hosting the competitions in the past. 9. @hanspeter It's best you do the text on its own layer so that you can manipulate it to fit over your image. ~ CLICK for larger ~ I assume you went to settings and clicked the correct boxes? ~ Click for larger ~ Please check your Spam folder for notifications, as I know sometimes they go into that folder.
  10. Hi @hanspeter you could try this plugin, Rotate Text found in this Plugin pack: 1. Have your map on one layer. 2. Make a new layer and make your text. You can get it to be vertical by playing with the settings.
  11. Oooops - that will teach me not to read the thread properly 😁
  12. Hello @JiaoTongNan and Welcome to the forum I noticed in your video that you are using the Paint.net version 3.5.8. You must update to the latest version of Paint.net in order for these Plugins to work.
  13. 1. I would first try to delete the white background by using the Magic wand and place with the settings in the tolerance bar, to set the amount to select. Edit - I didn't realize that your image was on a transparent layer. 2. Hit delete. 3. To finish you AA's Assistant to clean up any rough edges. 4. Make a new layer, underneath you image and use a gradient or another color. I've never used this plugin but it might be useful too.
  14. Hello @Pyzayt and Welcome I can highly recommend this Plugin:
  15. Congratulations everyone 🏅 Some very lovely entries and most fitting that @welshblue got the 1st prize, as he's the Text king for sure. Thank so much for hosting @lynxster4 🍹

  19. That's odd as I tested this and it works fine for me too
  20. This is certainly a conundrum. What computer system do you have? It's looking more like your computer is the problem here.
  21. So, you've done what @Ego Eram Reputo suggested above? It may be worth trying to install this and then try to reinstall Paint.net: https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet-framework/thank-you/net48-web-installer
  22. After you reconfigured @Sabrina Pereira did you go to Microsoft to check all your updates were current?
