  1. You couldn't be more wrong. Critical updates are critical for a reason--most patch security vulnerabilities. Please, please keep your OS updated!
  2. Install the Verdana font? https://www.google.com/search?q=verdana+font+download Verdana is one of the fonts that comes with Windows. Are you running Windows in a language other than English?
  3. This is something that @Rick Brewster would have to answer. But, I'm curious... Does Paint.NET currently run on your OS?
  4. CodeLab just puts the built zip files on the user's desktop. They should be pretty easy to find by pressing and holding the windows key then pressing D.
  5. Step 1: Install my plugin pack from https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/113220-boltbaits-plugin-pack-for-pdn-v41-and-beyond-updated-december-1-2018/ Step 2: Select the area you want to flip Step 3: Use the menu Effects > Flip Horizontal (or Flip Vertical, depending on the direction you want). Step 4: Become so amazed that you decide to send a donation to BoltBait.
  6. Sounds like you have a bad plugin installed. I recommend, deleting all your plugins and then go to the forums and download the latest versions of the plugins you want.
  7. You can not use Adjustments or Effects because you don't have a file open or a new canvas open.
  8. Paint.NET is in a private repository. So, the best place to file bugs is right here on the forum.
  9. It is not Paint.NET's fault that your harddrive is failing.
  10. "Hardness" is a setting for the paint brush tool: It has no effect on scanning or printing. If you are having trouble with the built-in print capability of Paint.NET, I highly recommend checking out this plugin: https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/28520-print-it-tools-effect/
  11. Maybe what you need is the Level Horizon plugin in my plugin pack: https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/113220-boltbaits-plugin-pack-for-pdn-v41-and-beyond-updated-december-1-2018/ Here's how it works: https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/31736-level-horizon-plugin-with-tutorial-and-source-code-v13-2015-04-21/
  12. Did you try the Clock Plugin? https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/110883-clock-plugin/
  13. If you download Paint.NET from the official web site or the Microsoft Store, it is not bundled with a virus or spyware.
  14. Here's your problem: medianEffect.SetRenderInfo(medianParameters, new RenderArgs(dst), new RenderArgs(dst)); You can't render the median effect to the same canvas you're rendering from. You should probably read the tutorials on my web site: https://boltbait.com/pdn/CodeLab/help/ (specifically part 3 & 7)
  15. Well, we can't fix the error if you can't show us the script that is giving you the error.
  16. Do you have the DLL file libfftw3-3.dll installed on your system?
  17. 1. Learn the photographic rule of thirds 2. Learn how to control depth of field using your camera's manual aperture setting. 3. Install my plugin pack and look in the Effects > Photo menu for "Combined Adjustments" and "Sharpen Landscape" (plus others)
  18. OK, this is going to be a problem on Windows 7. The thing is, Win 7 has a problem scrolling non-active windows. So, you could try clicking on a layer in the layer window THEN try scrolling with the mouse wheel. This has been fixed in Windows 10. In Win 10, you go to Settings > Mouse > Scroll inactive windows when I hover over them. There is some software you can try on Windows 7 to see if it works for you. It is called KatMouse. Give it a shot and see if it solves the problem for you... then come back here and report. Good luck!
  19. What version of Windows are you on? Was it the same version for both installations of Paint.NET?
  20. Show us the error you're getting without Diebold Warsaw installed. Thanks!
