  1. Nice tute! Another way to achieve this effect (or something similar) is to use the Laplacian Pyramid Filter.
  2. Excellent entires by all. Great theme too. It gives me an idea about a possible future slideshow project. Perhaps a family portrait or something. Obviously I will slow the movements down and try to put each person on their own piece of the puzzle.....
  3. I've been reprimanded a few too many times, so I won't be posting much around here. I know I'm a hot head, but that's my nature... Anyway, I've joined the Linux Mint forum (lot's of smart cookies there) and made a Linux desktop background image using this excellent plugin. Object Bevel and Gears are some of my favorite PDN plugins. TR and BoltBait have some real nice ones also. If it weren't for the hard work that people like you put into these great plugin's, I would've given up on PDN long ago. Anyway here is a link to the desktop background: woodpecker Now, let me get out of here before i get banned for good...
  4. I just extracted it in Linux and the properties of the dll report: Sun 11 Sep 2016 10:35:31 PM EDT
  5. You can also use "Ink Sketch", then play with blending modes (left), or use Red Ochre's Object Bevel to create the engraving Right.
  6. Here's a better version (I think). I added a bevel and drop shadow to the puzzle pieces.
  7. Image link: https://www.pexels.com/photo/sky-sunset-field-trees-1022/ Edit: Made a smaller version (half the frames) for easier loading.
  8. It is certainly possible to do in PDN. Your problem however is in a lack of imagination, not execution. You need to first come up with a good idea in detail, then execute that idea using layers, blending modes, and/or filters. Good luck and have fun.
  9. I think if there were support for DotNet 4.5.6 in Wine, installing the latest version of PDN would be possible.
  10. I never spend more than 10 minutes making my entries. I just post for fun and don't want to win anyway....
  11. You can also use Red Ochre's Aardvark plugin for this.
  12. The "Checkerboard" pattern is the universal symbol for Alpha Channel transparency. There is no need to remove even if you could. If you don't like looking at it, add a colored layer below.
  13. The commands EER posted work fine for me. I'm using PDN 4.0.11 in a VM running Win7x64.
  14. In PDN 4.0.11 while zoomed in, Ctrl+PgUp scrolls to top of image and Ctrl+PgDn scrolls to bottom of image. It does nothing in PDN 3.5.11 as BoltBait said. What are you expecting to happen?
  15. That's a great Idea! It would save clicking on "More>>" in many cases. I wonder how difficult it would be to implement.....
  16. I shot this photo today of a wood pecker in my yard and decided to use it here.
  17. Save as ".SVG" that should keep the vector intact and AI should be able to open it. If it can't, shame on them....
  18. I just upgraded to the latest version of my Linux distro, I then installed Wine and PDN. I had to try it out, so I choose to use this plugin because it's cool..... I call this one the Cormorant Race. Photo is mine.
  19. Depends on the effect. If you just want to add a static foreground or background layer it is possible via "foreground" and "background" commands using Midora's Animated Images plugin.
  20. Forget trying to recover blown highlights, the information is lost and can not be properly recovered. Re-shooting is your best plan. I would shoot in indoors in even light or outdoors on a cloudy day or early in the morning. Use a tripod, set ISO to lowest setting, shoot with slow shutter speed and high F-stop. You can shoot RAW, but PDN lacks the bit-depth to take advantaged of the higher detail.
  21. OK, I didn't know that it required special treatment for polls.
  22. Why do you need to upload? You can Right-Click on any image, select "Copy Image Location" and paste it into a new post..... Example:
  23. Yes. You can use the ShapeMaker plugin for that.
  24. I made a cool shadow effect while playing around in PDN...
