Hi,
I have an image that is made up from a number of different layers and every layer has a transparent background. On any particular layer, if I cut/copy part of the image that is displayed and move it over another part of the image (on the same layer) the area of transparency that is also copied masks the area of the image I'm moving it to.
Why isn't the transparency 'transparent'?
Cheers.
Excellent!
Cheers, Red! That's exactly the effect I was looking for
Maximilian, you're welcome
See, Eli? A good, positive answer that didn't require any sarcasm.

Oh, another thing...
While working on my layers...
At the moment I'm using the right-click to erase. I realise that this isn't erasing but colouring over my work with white (which is then visible on other layers).
Instead of creating another layer or using white to erase, is there a way to create a secondary colour that acts like an erase?
How would I go about doing this?
Cheers.
Hi,
How do I remove the 'grid' that is displayed whenever a new layer is created? I just require a white background but there doesn't appear to be any setting to change this. So annoying.
Cheers,
