  1. You have downloaded the source code. You'd better click on the first download link at the very beginning of the first post.
  2. Took the liberty to make a small change in order to compile in CodeLab 1.8 From this: private BinaryPixelOp normalOp = LayerBlendModeUtil.CreateCompositionOp(LayerBlendMode.Normal); to this: private UserBlendOp normalOp = new UserBlendOps.NormalBlendOp(); Thanks for the source code, it's a very nice-looking effect. Screen Pixel v1.1 for PdN 3.5.11.zip
  3. Once you solve any possible virus issues, never forget that this is the only place on the internet that provides safe plugin downloads. Concerning your original question, it very much depends on what you want to achieve. I regularly do landscapes, for which I use plugins that allow me to create geographic features, such as TR's Third Dimension (the soils and mountains! ) and Red ochre's Furblur (to render grassy fields! ). But these are just two out of so many useful tools, and everything depends on each artist's expectations and creativity.
  4. Many congrats, Seerose! and also congrats to the runners-up Thanks for hosting the contest, Pixey!
  5. Thanks for the plugin and the source code, Anthony! Follows a small contribution: Replace Color for PdN 3.5.11.zip
  6. Back with a quickie, though I'm not quite sure what to call it Perhaps a disintegrating embossed plaque, or such a plaque hit by bullets, or maybe an embossed stone that had a bad day! Not sure, but I like the way this plugin destroys a text in a few steps
  7. Looks like the happy owl has something important to say or show
  8. Super spacy! Is it a full PdN creation or a combined result?
  9. Thank you very much for the correction, ReMake! (first time I check these plugins but surely not the last one!)
  10. Oh, a new toy to play with whenever I feel like procrastinating on other matters! I will it try it out later this week but in the meantime many thanks for the 3.5.11 version, Red!
  11. Old school paper tutorial + silhouetted captures from my own Saint Seiya DVDs (a classic anime series, in case unknown) + everything painted on the paper with MJW's Texture Shader (the bigger original shows the actual details):
  12. 100% Paint.NET silhouetting of things and catching of fires Full size version. Mockingjays resulting from following and varying various tutorials from DragoArt, mainly this one and this one and this one, plus this winged Katniss Everdeen's capture
  13. Yep, this is the only recommendable source to download Paint.NET plugins. Everything's okay and safe here, no worries
  14. Thanks for the update, toe_head! I love the way the italic text follows a body's italic movement Follows the version of the plugin compatible with the vintage 3.5.11, should anyone else need it Text Window v1.2 for PdN 3.5.11.zip
  15. Don't worry much about quality, Seerose. GIFs are like that, sometimes a little disappointing Although you may try setting the dithering to a higher value, which would give better quality I think. Midora's animation filetype plugin lets you have a good control of the dithering, so you can play with different settings and see what happens. Anyway, your animations look super good as they are!
  16. Perhaps I used the wrong word and I should have said somewhat sketchy objects or maybe stencil representations instead of silhouettes. My idea is to make general outlines of any object, like a face, without entering into too much detail, although they don't have to be so little detailed either. It can be something halfway detailed. As a very general example, I picked a photo and made both a black and white outline of the face and an outline that preserves a few more details from the original (and some of the color): It doesn't have to be necessarily a photo manipulation (could be something created by oneself), and it doesn't have to be a face. I hope I'm making sense and haven't chosen a too complex theme
