  1. Updates aren't usefull in ANY case. So stop updating it.
  2. Seems to be a problem with gaphic and/or mouse drivers. Try an OLDER graphic card driver.
  3. Yeah, fine. But the question, that I answered was this: And this is MY thinking. So deal with it - especially because you're not the TO, okay?
  4. An update for paint.net only updates paint.net. Plugins must be updated seperately, if neccessary. You can send me a PM in german, I'm from Berlin.
  5. I think that I will never use the Windows store. I don't need a dark theme and I'm generally not interested in themes for applications and if I need (very seldom) a batch processor interface, I use that one provided by XnView, my favorite image management software.
  6. @Pixey If this happens so often, you really should make a working backup of your system or at least of your important documents and other files so you don't have to download them again and again. Just some days ago some friends have lost all their data on a laptop because they haven't follow my advice. I told them last summer "Leave the fingers of Windows 10. Stay with Windows 7 with your old laptop." Guess what they did ...
  7. Sounds strange for me. Okay ... the version-question is solved. But if the effects worked correctly BEFORE, how it could be that the DLL now isn't in the right location? But that's only my private two cents....
  8. I see, that you use Paint.NET 4.0.17 BETA. Are you a Beta-Tester? If not, you shouldn't use it. Here with 4.0.16 I have no problems with Ed Harveys plugins.
  9. A Plugin with tolerance sliders is Color Replacer.
  10. Almost all. Sorry, but if I read, that you spend 6 years or so to find out, that there is a support forum and plugins (all this you could find following some menu links in the software itself) than it will be hard to describe ALL the things, that you have missed out. Just open your eyes, take a look and read. You must have a natural curiosity, don't you?
  11. The FileType Plugin for AGIF and APNG should help. Before you can import an animated PNG you have manually rename it from image.PNG to image.APNG and rename it back after editing and saving.
  12. Use the Outline Effect. There are multiple Plugins for this. But this works only, if your line/wire is on a transparent layer without any background. Outline BoltBait Outline Object BoltBait Outline Object v2.6 pyrochild And just for fun:
  13. Two suggestions: Plugin Parallel Lines and Patterns
  14. Press F1 in PDN and your browser will show you this. Otherwise please ask more detailed, what you need to know or take a look at the TUTORIALS here.
  15. I unfortunately assumed that you know at least the easiest steps in handling an image processing program. It's like packing a suitcase: it's not enough to open it and wait for the things to jump in by itself. You have to pick them up and put them in. Make a new image with your desired dimensions. Open both cover images too, copy them and paste them into two new layers in the new image. Drag and resize them if you wish, flatten the image and save it. Instead of paste the images in new layers you can paste them direct too, if you are carefully handle the tools.
  16. Paint.NET isn't a HTML and CSS interpreting webbrowser. If you want two images in one big image you have to put them there manually.
  17. Just a question for the new Dice-Competition: I saw there dices with unusual dot/eye combinations. Normally the sum of the opposite eyes of a dice must be 7.
  18. What version of Windows do you use, what kind of user account and where do you have downloaded Paint.NET? PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  19. Just for later similar issues: You can check software version outside the software itself. Just take a look in your Windows Control Panel -> Programs and Features. The Version is shown in the table.
  20. Your description is a little bit blurry... Maybe you mean something like the plugin Mirror over Line.
