  1. Nevertheless, it would be a sign of good will if the offline help as a PDF document (possibly slightly shortened) as an optional download would be available. Some good traditions should be honored.
  2. Of course you can. Select the entire PNG (CTRL+A), copy it into the clipboard (CTRL+C) and either paste it in your image directly (CTRL+V) or in a new layer (CTRL+SHIFT+V).
  3. In my opinion, the time for choosing the values for height and width or diameter, putting that in some dialog window and let appear the shape, would not very differ from the time, that you need to just drag it in the right size by mouse. BTW: You could use instead a fix size for rectangle selection and then use the plugin Borders N' Shapes.
  4. @Pixey: the server www.komplex.com.au doesn't exist anymore.
  5. That's some sort of Dithering. There's a plugin for Dithering (Floyd-Steinberg) or you try Gradients Galore.
  6. Make sure, that the layer is transparent (empty) except the circle. You have to choose one of the options: Center Both Center Horizontally Center Vertically ..... You have to align for every layer.
  7. Second try, a wish for myself, because he was my favorite author in my childhood. Some of his books I've read more then 30 times.
  8. I don't think so. You can place/drag the content where ever you want (use arrow keys for precise movement, CTRL+Arrow keys for bigger steps).
  9. Strange resolution value! What kind of "photo" is this? Normal resolution should be 96 or 72 dpi/ppi. Maybe the image file is corrupt.
  10. Pixels, inches, centimetres, nautical miles? JPEG, PNG, BMP, ....? No problems here. Make sure, that you really choose "By absolut size" instead "By percentage".
  11. @Eli That was only an additional (simplified) suggestion. The pie slice in my first picture is made by the Pie Chart plugin.
  12. Put your pie slice(s) in a new, transparent layer and change the opacity level in the layer properties. And here a version without any additional layers:
  13. If the layer is 100% transparent, then there is in fact nothing to see and instead merging down the layer above you could simply delete the lower layer. If I've understand you in a wrong way, please describe it more precise and maybe with an screenshot for illustration.
  14. I'm not your personal army. Try this: http://www.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/
  15. First: This board is dedicated to Paint.NET, not to MS Paint. Second: Percentage means percent of normal size on screen. 100% = 1px on image is 1px on screen. 200% means 1px on image is 2px on screen. Third: Your printer (driver) should provide a help and a dialog and preview to adjust exactly, what you will get after printing.
  16. That's not neccessary. My answer is good enough for both cases.
  17. @Pixey That's not a drop down menu. That's a popup window. You may notice the X for closing the window in the upper-right corner.
  18. I don't understand the problem. The pulldown/dropdown menu is only visible until you have choosen an effect. Then it's gone. The effect window pops up and you can drag it to another place.
  19. No. Not only the NAME. You have there below the field for the name a pulldown menu for the FILETYPE. Standard is PNG. But even there a dialog pops up after clicking SAVE. The same on JPEG with other options (see my screenshot).
  20. SAVE AS is also correct. It doesn't matter. Using SAVE is better if the image already exist and can be overwritten. SAVE AS is better for choosing a new name and filetype.
  21. You must adjust the compression level in des SAVE dialogue (Save Configuration). Better quality = less compression. Lower Quality = higher compression.
  22. Sounds for me extremely strange. You make something completely wrong or your PCs filesystem is heavy damaged. I've NEVER lost any plugins or fonts. Fonts are installed and managed by the operating system, not by PDN.
