Hi,

I use paint.net for painting skins in rFactor V1. However, when I download images with a clear background they are horizontal and can't be changed. I can solve this by going into a program like word but it sets the transparency to white and then it's a pain to remove afterwards. I think you can rotate images in Adobe Photoshop but it would be handy in paint.net.

Cheers,

Josh

You can rotate images by going to "Layer>Rotate/Zoom" or pressing ctrl+shift+z.

EDIT: or select all (ctrl+a) and right click and drag with the move tool (black pointer)

No, Paint.NET is not spyware...but, installing it is an IQ test. ~BoltBait

Rotation is better accomplished with the Move Selected Pixels tool. See the status bar for the help text that describes how to rotate.

(I really should just remove Rotate/Zoom)

Rotate/zoom is really nice for repeating movements. Also, it has the 3D rotation thing that I use for just about every 3D text I make

An excellent case for keeping it!

...the 3D rotation thing...

I have mentally renamed this control the "eyeball" :)

I agree, I love this feature. I wouldn't have been able to have made the puzzle picture I did awhile ago without it.

Using the move selected tool, hold down shift as you right click and it rotates in 15 % increments

This also works in Rotate/Zoom, btw. Although it seems to go in 45 degree increments.
