To be honest, I like using pdn more than using photoshop.

You actually do stuff yourself instead of just splatting loads of effects and adjustments on top. In Paint.NET you really have to work to achieve great results, but it's easier to learn.

It also gives you a very fulfilling feeling when you say (or write ): "I can make PS-level sigs in Paint.NET."

Finished version of the Suicune WIP:

Looks great! Just needs a bit more blending of the sprite. Not a lot, just a little. It looks like its been slapped on too much right now. Maybe change the background to a dark purple shade, it'd help with the slight monotone-ness. Nice job though! KIU! (feels great when you make an awesome sig dunnit?)

I like the sig. Maybe just make the sprite stand out because it's a little hard to see (like LFC4EVER said). But don't get me wrong it's just as beautiful as your other work. :wink:

The Houndoom one uses effects really well to convey heat, which I really like. Not as good as the suicine sig, but making another sig that brilliant would be EXTREMELY difficult!

Hmm, I wouldnt mind doing that 100 sig challenge thing to be honest, as I've said before.

Also, I prefer the 2nd Houndoom sig, it seems to have a lot lets empty space than the original, however it doesn't have as much of a sense of heat, maybe... it's hard to say
