  1. markt: The pyrochild plugin pack was updated two or three days ago. Your plugin files are out of date. ============================================= So far as I know, pyrochild.effects.common.dll is no longer used, it's been replaced by pyrochild.effects.REQUIRED.dll. Leaving pyrochild.effects.common.dll in your Effects folder may cause problems.
  2. This way for Vista: http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/5570/netrepair01.png
  3. So now you can have plugins, forbiddenrose. Double-clicking the plugin files doesn't install them. They need to be copied and pasted into either the Effects or File Types folder, located in the Paint.NET program folder. Here's the installation instruction thread: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=2023
  4. Check the plugin index for: Photo Flood Fill Seamless Texture
  5. GoRoovy: If you use the extract function to install the plugin files, I believe they should be extracted to the Paint.NET program folder. PdN may be using the older .dlls still.
  6. So, you reinstalled Net Framework 3.5 SP1? And no change, different error messages, no error message now, ...?
  7. thezaelor: Do you have one of these in there? http://img39.imageshack.us/img39/8131/pdnrepair01.png ======================================= Also, if you scroll up in Program Files is there a Paint.NET folder and/or Effects and File Types folders?
  8. There is some information on uninstalling problems here. Have you seen this yet?
  9. Have you tried this? http://img39.imageshack.us/img39/8131/pdnrepair01.png
  10. Hi cattails, You could try resizing everything up by a factor of 4 before editing, then resize down before saving. This should reduce the jaggies, with a trade-off of adding some blur. http://img707.imageshack.us/img707/7178 ... gdown0.png
  11. emilierop: I see what you mean about the final size of the picture. If you have an original image file that is bigger, it will be easier to edit that and resize it down before posting it to the web page. For the lighter background: Set the text layer above the background with the Blend mode of the text layer set to Multiply.
  12. Right. Or without using the Clone Stamp, to apply the same bit of image to many different places, make a selection of what you want to repeat and copy it into multiple new layers, then move them one by one to where you want them to be. Or, save the bit that you want to repeat as a PNG file and use it as a custom brush in Simon Brown's Custom Brush Mini plugin.
  13. Hi Lepton, Here's the Help file page, in case you haven't seen it: http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/en/CloneStamp.html From what you've described the Clone Stamp may be working as intended. In the second screenshot, nothing can be altered outside the selection area by any tool, so that is normal. Making a selection is not necessary for using the Clone Stamp tool. To clone stamp between layers, change layers between setting the anchor point and the next left-click that's applied to the canvas. The distance and angle between anchor point and stamp point remains fixed until you reset the anchor point. ( Ctrl + left-click ) The anchor point trails along behind where you move the mouse, that is. After setting the anchor point, you can clone stamp either by left-clicking repeatedly, or by holding down the left button and doing brushlike strokes.
  14. NEthermoR: Be sure you have Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 installed. If you have Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 installed, try doing a Repair operation on "Microsoft .NET Framework" in the Add/Remove Programs (XP) or Programs and Features (Vista) through the control panel. Also, be sure to check this link: ========================================== Please say what OS version you are using, Vista, XP, etc, and what OS Service Pack level is installed. Are you fully current on Windows Updates?
  15. Assuming that each picture of the collage is on its own layer, to resize an object on a layer, make a selection around the object, activate the Move Selected Pixels tool, , hold down the Shift key, and drag a corner adjusting node to expand or compress object size. If you have more than one object on a layer and want to move only one of them, make a rectangular selection around it and use the Move Selected Pixels tool. Best to give each object its own layer. If you use Image > Resize... it will affect all layers.
  16. mtguy720: This suggestion may be helpful, or impractical, depending on what you are doing. The clone stamp can be emulated by putting a copy of the image you want for the source on a layer beneath the image you want to transfer to. Offset the bottom layer by the amount you would have offset the clone stamp, use the eraser on the top layer, and merge. This way will allow texture to be transferred which won't be possible by simply using the paintbrush. JPG shouldn't matter.
  17. kapi: It appears that you are accustomed to printing at 72 dpi, and these are printing at 300 dpi. Your examples: 384 x 479 / 300dpi = 1.28 x 1.6 inches 480 x 295 / 72dpi = 6.67 x 4.1 inches ---------------------------------------------------------- Be sure to save at the 72 dpi you are accustomed to, or work with a larger pixel count in the future. To adjust the dpi before saving, from the Paint.NET Menu Bar. Image > Resize... Also, check that the printer isn't configured to print at 300dpi as default. This link will explain further: Hope this helps
  18. You could upload the image to ImageShack and Gmail them the link.
  19. Ouch. Well, the next thing I'd want to see is the same screenshot, but this time showing the Windows Explorer full window so that the full path to the Effects folder is shown.
