  1. Many, many thanks @welshblue And, I hope you are 'hanging-in there' and are not feeling too poorly 💊
  2. And the Winners are: In 1st place is @MJW with 7 votes In 2nd place are @lynxster4 and @Pixey with 4 votes In 3rd place is @Eli with 1 vote Congratulations everyone and thank you for your entries which were all just marvelous!
  3. Been there - done that. @barbieq25 warned me when I first started using Paint.net to Save Often!
  4. I am using the same version as @Seerose and it works fine. As @Seerose made it up to the point of saving - it means she must have the correct things in the correct folders? Perhaps @toe_head2001 or @BoltBait or any other computer savvy gobbledegook reader, can shed some light on the error message 😁
  5. I tried to use the Character Map but it doesn't show up the script that @Sonya is looking for. Actually Canvas font DOES now show up in the Windows Character Map (as I saved it previously explained in an earlier post) into the Windows Font Folder. However, although I see it in the Character Map I have tried, in vain, to copy and paste to no avail as per instructions in the link here
  6. I thought, as did @lynxster4 that Aurora looked like an emerald. Also, it looks quite stormy Gorgeous color
  7. Hello @Rose00 and Welcome to the forum I think I read on the forum, not so long ago, about some people having this problem with images saved via Firefox. Where are copying the transparent images from, please? Also, can you attach one in a post here so that we can test it. As you are a long time user of Paint.net I assume - if you are saving your own images, that they are saved in .png format and saved either with Auto detect, or 32 bit.
  8. Hi @Sonya. I did a bit of research and found out this: 1. Download Canvas Script (you can use the link @HyReZ gave) - I logged in with Facebook. 2. Go to top tool bar - Free Fonts - canvas script. 3. Below the video is the free download in blue. 4. Save the Zip and open it. 5. Go to Control Panel on your Computer and add the Canvas-Regular.otf to the Font Folder. What I've discovered is that you can then pull it up in the WhichSymbolPlus................. BUT you would have to add a new layer in paint.net, and move the text yourself, as each time you type the text appears over the first one. Most annoying. Also, I notice that they only give you one free font with the free download, then if you want more, you must pay. It does, however, work when you use Word.
  9. Ahh - thank you for explaining that
  10. Hello @Newcomer and Welcome to the forum As @NomBot hasn't logged in since 2017 I will try to answer your question. 1. You first download his plugin `~ unzip it and save to the Effects Folder in paint.net. 2. Import a picture (he used one with a head) 3. Then go to ~ Effects ~ Artistic ~ BoxFitting Good Luck!
  11. Hello @Sonya and Welcome The Which Symbol Plus goes into the paint.net Effects Folder and then is found here: It can only find symbols/text that are already in the Windows Font Folder on your computer. I don't think paint.net can work with script. Here is a post in another thread by @Rick Brewster about script: Posted September 10, 2018 Sorry, there isn't yet any scripting support. Someday ? The list of stuff to implement is very long ... although scripting and a richer plugin API have an amplifying effect, so it may see the light of day sooner rather than later. EDIT: Please disregard above. So, we have to work out how to get that font you need, into the Windows Font Folder. I have read this article on the subject, but I need more time to work it out. Hopefully someone else will know before I solve it 😁
  12. Hi @klaxxon I downloaded your image, played with every which way and cannot get the error. It saves as both .png, .jpeg, etc. You are using Save As, right?
  13. Thank you @JulioCoolio for your lovely comment
  14. What an amazing color - exactly like roses - which I love
  15. I just downloaded this latest Beta version and tried working with a large canvas, as per @klaxxon's dimensions, and am having no trouble saving to .png. or .jpeg
  16. Actually, the real answer to @Mimi's Question is obviously PAINT.net
  17. @ishani Many thanks for the explanation on how to use the Mask - very useful indeed and I'm sure there is still a lot more to learn from you
  18. Congratulations @MJW @Woodsy and @lynxster4 with fabulous entries ❤️ I 2nd @lynxster4's comment on @MJW's copper and the solder 👌 Many thanks @lynxster4 for her smooth hosting
