  1. I actually had problems with TGAs as well. I was trying to make an avatar for TrackMania Nations and whenever I tried to save my image as a TGA, TMN kept showing some random pixels as the avatar. So then I realized that you could save the images as a DDS and Paint.NET happens to have a DDS plugin, so all went well in the end.
  2. I think this has been requested over 3 times in the last 4 months. As Myrddin said, use search.
  3. You can't make a tool with a plugin-- only an effect or an adjustment
  4. Once I had to open 80 GIFs (about 300x300 px) and it took 1:30 to load them all
  5. ^^Shweet^^ Get ready for a $2,500 donation, Rick! BTW, now it's up to 13 (including my nomination)
  6. *stops breathing for 10 seconds* Isn't that going a little too far?
  7. I've actually thought of that months before joining the pdn forums. I thought "wouldn't it be cool if I can create an entirely new OS from scratch with the power of image editing?" But then I realized that my Paint.NET skills were still developing, so I gave up. I already have some crazy ideas that will rock your world if I could even think of a way to create a screenshot of it (no, it doesn't evolve toilet paper or mind control).
  8. ^^There's supposed to be a plugin for IE that does the equivalent of your CSS^^
  9. I'm for this. In fact, suggested this about 2 months ago.
  10. Another great plugin, pyro! One suggestion, though-- can you create a rotation setting so you can choose the angle of the jitter?
  11. I thought Vista came with .NET 3.0 already installed....
  12. You're good at making those antique things, aguba. @SjiZzZLe: Nice eyes.
  13. I've actually made a few sprite comics in Paint.NET before, though they weren't that good and you would have to dig deep in my Photobucket account to find them (they were Metroid sprite comics). It is much easier to create sprite comics in PDN than Paint, thought Paint.NET's brush is a circle rather than a square (needed to create some sprite comics). Open Paint.NET Create a new image with the appropriate resolution Create a new layer and name it "panels" Use the Line/Curve and Rectangle tools to create the panels Open the image with the sprites Use the magic wand (0 tolerance) to select the background and press Delete to erase it Select and copy one of the sprites Back in the comic window, create a new layer called "Sprite Dudes" and paste your sprite dude there Position it Repeat the last few steps until you have all your characters where you want them Create a new layer called "Speech Bubbles" In that layer, use any of the shape tools to create your speech bubbles Use the Line/Curve tool to create the speech bubble arrow (or whatever it's called) Use the text tool to type the text (you may need to resize the speech bubbles) Do basically the same thing for each pannel
  14. New cursor pack! I was going to name it "Aztec", but it was changed to "Rough Around the Edges" at the last minute.
  15. Ctrl+X > Ctrl+Shift+V > Shift-click on a nub to resize
  16. Hm.... *points to quote in sig* I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for: http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=3107
  17. For now the best thing you can get is the Alpha Mask Import plugin: http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=2178 Here's a tutorial on how to use it (I myself haven't read it yet): http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=5276 As for cloning without pushing pixels aside... erm.... you may want to read the quote in my signature (ignore the last part).
  18. Do you get a crash log (a text file on the desktop)? This will be moved to bugs and troubleshooting soon...
