Hi @Marilynx I'm often (but not as often as 64 times...) doing this kind of merge layers/save the picture... But once the file is saved as (with another name), I don't close/open. I just press Ctrl+Z to undo the "merge layers". This methode you are sure to keep image size and dpi. Otherwise (not tested) PDFCreator allows to create jpg. https://sourceforge.net/projects/pdfcreator/ as a printer. You'll have to test the setting to check if you could keep the image size and dpi...

I think r543 tall about moving the selection. So this should be the answer: Then filling the transparent area (on the image on the right) won't left semi transparent pixels. -

The simply way is to change the left part... tube oblique... Also this picture has to much lights and shadows IMO to be reworked simply. -

The way to acheve it is not simple! .The road isn't visible enough to curve it. .I would take the left part to create more road to be able to transform it. I need to test... -

Hi clgx, It's often depending on the picture. If you could provide a link it will help us. My first choices would be Tube Oblique or Oblique. You'll need probably to use multiple layers and some transparency. -
My second entry... kind of capuccino from the coffee machine and its "spoon" (don't know the English word).
