  1. Switch to a real browser? (ie. Chrome) Here's the thing... it is not a problem with Paint.NET and we have no control over fixing your situation. Firefox is not putting the right stuff onto the Clipboard when you're copying an image. You need to take this up with the Firefox development team. EDIT: More info here: https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/113766-transparent-background-is-turned-black-when-pasted/?tab=comments#comment-554632
  2. What browser are you using? (I'm going to guess Firefox...)
  3. The official way to refer to our favorite graphics program is: Paint.NET Sometimes it is styled as: paint.net
  4. When using the Paint Bucket tool, also be sure to adjust the Tolerance slider in the top tool bar. This affects the overall agressiveness of the fill. I usually have mine set to 32%. Also, it is possible to use the Paint Bucket tool on an empty layer by changing the "Sampling" option to Image instead of Layer.
  5. Looks terrible on my phone... The whole theme used to be blue. Now it looks mostly gray. I can’t really see the tags. (Do what you want with this info. I've switched back to the default theme.)
  6. Try these tutorials: https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/12205-popping-out-of-a-picture/ and https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/12188-color-and-black-and-white-the-pleasantville-effect/ EDIT: Haha! @Maximilian beat me to it!
  7. You're fine. Rule #2 is really just so people don't START threads in the plugin forum asking questions about plugins or requesting plugins, etc.
  8. So what this utility does is run an MSI reinstall operation with a flag telling it to only replace missing files.
  9. You can verify that there is no loss of data by doing the following: Open your image, and load your modified image in a separate layer... change that layer's blending mode to XOR. All changes will be highlighted in white. If the resulting image is solid black, there are no differences between the two layers (images).
  10. It depends on the resize method used. If you use the "Nearest Neighbor" method of resizing up and use it again to resize down, YES it is safe--you won't lose any information.
  11. Step 1: Install my plugin pack Step 2: Select your sprite Step 3: Use the flip plugin, Effects > Flip Horizontal or Effects > Flip Vertical
  12. No. But, this plugin could help you: https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/4193-align-object-plugin-updated-06172007/
  13. Try one of the feather plugins in my plugin pack on the arrow layer before merging layers.
  14. I don't believe that plugin was ever officially released. I believe it is something I had Curtis write for me to publish on my tutorial pages, here: https://boltbait.com/pdn/CodeLab/help/uielements.php#DoubleVector Hope this helps.
  15. Windows Paint does not have layers and that's why they made a workaround for moving pixels. Layers are way more powerful. Sounds to me that you just need to get used to using layers and you'll be much happier. Here's a little information to get you started: https://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/WorkingWithLayers.html
  16. At first, I tried really hard to read your mind, but you probably live too far away... Then, I tried hacking into your PC so I see the screen, but I have no skills for that... So, if you want some help, you're going to have to show us the EXACT error message you're getting. Either copy-and-paste the error message here, or post a screenshot showing the error message.
  17. What you need to do is press Ctrl+X then press Ctrl+Shift+V. Then, you can move it around all you want.
  18. If you're going to work on pixel art scaling, you should read this thread:
  19. Think of 100 to be 100% of your original saturation... in other words, at 100, you're getting no modification to your original image. You can move the slider to 0% saturation (where all saturation is removed from your image, making it black-and-white) to 200% saturation (or, double the original saturation).
