Making a plugin?

Okay so i am a computing/graphics student with reasonable coding abilities with PASCAL (no idea why i had to learn that at college). I know that probably won't help me at all when it comes to building plugins but what are the recommended skills to learn to be able to start experimenting with plugin creation?

I found BolBait's tutorials brilliant! - I printed them out, read them, re-read them and still refer to them occasionally.

Also there are various sites online to teach the basics of C#. I found this series of tutorials useful to look up the syntax too (though much of it is not directly needed to use codelab).http://www.csharp-station.com/Tutorials/Lesson01.aspx

Good luck! - be warned it can be addictive.

I learned C# from pretty much from fiddling with CodeLab.  Hands-on experience is a great learning tool.
