HCGS
Somebody help me, please. I always use Paint.NET, never had a failure, I've been using for a long time, I have done many drawings normally. But one day I went to run Paint.NET and this message appeared "There was an unhandled error and must Paint.NET to be closed. Refer to the file 'pdncrash.log', Which Has Been Placed on your desktop, for more information. "I did nothing wrong, just a day worked perfectly, and the other no longer worked. Do not download anything, did not move any parts of the pc, nothing. I made a drawing, I was doing other things on the internet, like watching videos and play Minecraft (yes, I play ), I turned off the pc, went to sleep, and the next day no longer worked. I check the pdncrash.log and said something like "set the registry value [HKLM \ Software \ Microsoft \ Fusion! EnableLog] (DWORD) to 1." I did it. Executed regedit, went to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, Software, Microsoft, Fusion, added the DWORD value, named EnableLog and put its value to 1. But it did not work. I put the pdncrash.log in another folder and tried to run Paint.NET again, but appeared pdncrash.log another, totally different. This other is down here: This text file was created because Paint.NET crashed. Please e-mail this file to crashlog@getpaint.net so we can diagnose and fix the problem. OddLlama
System.BadImageFormatException: Could not load file or assembly 'Accessibility, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. The module was expected to contain an assembly manifest. Looks like there's a file called "Accessibility" somewhere in your Paint.NET folder that got messed up or something. (I program in Java, not C#, so I'm not sure but I think that's the problem.) Copy this: C:\Arquivos de programas\Paint.NET\ Press Windows, and then press CTRL+V. If you see a file called Accessibility, then that's a problem. Also, I hate bacon. Ego Eram Reputo
Try it again. Follow Pyrochild's sugggestion first. THEN go to the thread nanettealsop directed you to and follow the directions in items 5) & 6). Once you have tried EVERYTHING mentioned report back here. edit: blindly fiddling with the registry is a silly thing to do. Rick Brewster
Firstly, the bit about "fusion" isn't going to get you anywhere, unfortunately. I've never seen anyone have any success with fusion stuff -- it's a developer thing, and you shouldn't ever have to worry about it (why it even shows up in stack traces like this is beyond me). Fortunately I don't think this registry setting will cause any harm. LOG: The same bind was seen before, and was failed with hr = 0x80131018 I looked up 0x8013108, and I found this page: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/11654193/cannot-load-assembly-hr-0x80131018 tl;dr: Perhaps you're using some antivirus that is confused. Try disabling it and see if things work. Also, this is a general tip: 'hr' stands for "HRESULT" and is a simple error handling system for native code which interoperates well with exceptions and managed code. That part isn't useful for troubleshooting though This is: often you can type in the hex value into your favorite search engine and find information and (sometimes!) solutions. Unless it's 0x80070005, aka E_FAIL, which could mean just about anything. r8rgal
I just ran across this same error. I am a basic computer user who has used, donated to and LOVED and bragged about Paint.net for years now. Suddenly, I cannot use it. I tried repairing, then uninstalled and tried to reinstall and the Reinstallation wont even complete because I get this JIT Debugging error that locks up my whole computer. I have to task manager end task to close it without completing installation. I am very frustrated and praying for a response in laymans/end user terms as I have no programming background.
