Ouchy_S
This is a tutorial for a recent signature of my that I have made, called "Elegance" . It took me a whopping 3 and a half hours to make it, so I aplogise for spelling mistakes. Tut is 100% PDN, did have about 50+ Layers of text, etc, and was about 12 MB as the PDN O_o Enjoy! Simon Brown
Why force users to click again to view the tutorial when the reason they probably read the thread in first place was to follow it? Also, there is a huge amount of white space in the [hide] tag below the tutorial. Thirdly, DeviantArt doesn't allow hotlinking. Just my 20p. Simon Brown
That's better - but it's too small to be able to see the text. Hint: Try splitting the image into segments if TP won't let you host an image of that size. Another tip: If you want to prevent ripping I advise you to place almost transparent watermarks over the image containing your username - that way someone wishing to steal it can't simply crop it. Yeah, I realised that, unfortunately. I'm going to use Free File Hosting instead, but if all previals, your method will be the one I have to do Blargh, didn't work. Splitting will have to do. LFC4EVER
Well written tut, many will learn from it. Just a few pointers, when you say that "it doesn't matter if the C4D has a black background, you can set the blend mode to additive" you can set the blend mode to screen/lighten as well to get some neat results too. Nice use of the clipping mask method, it a better accurate way, but for those who a lazy (i.e. ME) Smudge also works (100% Strength, 50% quality). Great job on the tut though. ☆★☆★Merry Christmas★☆★☆ .::.My Gallery.::.Make Gold Text!.::.

Simon Brown
Just one thing: I noticed that you've added watermarks to the image, however, IMO watermarks with your username would be more effective as people seeing this on the site of someone stealing it would assume they are trying to prevent ripping. Jayed
Great tut, I will try it sometime But why would we do the clipping masks? Personally it just looks like white circles with a low transparency But you gave me some nice ideas on making my own brushes ^L^ -0 Power comes to those who least expect it, Ambition comes to those who want it. Sometimes Ambition rules the Powerful, many times Ambition Is Power. Remember that Frodo, that ring could have been yours!
Ouchy_S
Clipping masks looked good on that signature. It would be a tad bland other wise. And I am aware that they do look like white dots, but that is just because of the stock Clipping masks usually look better than that, not saying that mine are bloody potato My deviantART | My Gallery
Minoeman
Great tut! One of the bests, here. I'm really surprised that no1 has added to the box of outcomes... So I shall break that! Ouchy_S
Ah, my first "Customer" That could be so much better if you erased over the focal for the C4D, turned the opacity up, and made the text readable Into the box it goes! Minoeman
Okay, you told me to erase over the focal, right? Well, just one problem. When I do, it's clearly viable that I did. Just a sudden hole in the image. Any help? We should all be... Ouchy_S
Are you doing the technique of lowering the opacity when erasing? Like this: My deviantART | My Gallery
Minoeman
No, just used eraser. That technique works really well, though! We should all be... david.atwell
viewtopic.php?f=29&t=26921 Read rule 1a. The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.Amy: But how did it end up in there? The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.
