Fashy Weaver
I need to bend this 2d 'viking-pattern' object along a certain shape. Basically I need to cover the snake I've attached with the pattern. I was hoping I could just tap it with the Magic Wand tool and then bend it like you bend a regular line -you know with several "warp-points". I can only stretch it vertically or horizontally though. I hope you understand what I mean. I have tried the Grid Warp tool but I can't do it by bending the dimension it's part of. Hope that makes sense. ps. I'm using a localized version of paint.net so I have translated the names of the tools myself.
Pixey
Hello @Fashy Weaver and Welcome to the forum One way I can think of is as thus: Put your snake (remove the white background) - simplest way is with magic wand on the white, then delete. Put your pattern into a new layer and resize accordingly. Then use the Trail Plugin to fill the layer. After which: select snake, go to pattern layer and hit delete. Change the layer mode for a nice pattern effect. Result. I hope this helps. 1 Quote How I made Jennifer & Halle in Paint.net My Gallery | My Deviant Art "Rescuing one animal may not change the world, but for that animal their world is changed forever!" anon. Fashy Weaver
Thanks a ton, for the effort Pixey. It really doesn't though. I need the pattern to run along the body of the snake -not cover it, like you've done here. Thanks again for trying to help me. I really appreciate it Edited July 26, 2018 by Fashy Weaver
Pixey
You are Welcome. Do you mean like this: I used the Sin Waves Plugin. It will be quite laborious to do it that way, but I can't think of anything else at the moment sorry 1 Quote How I made Jennifer & Halle in Paint.net My Gallery | My Deviant Art "Rescuing one animal may not change the world, but for that animal their world is changed forever!" anon. Ego Eram Reputo
How about the Liquify plugin? The process will still be labor intensive - also fun and you'll learn a great deal about the plugin by playing with it. 1 Quote ebook: Mastering Paint.NET | resources: Plugin Index | Stereogram Tut | proud supporter of Codelab plugins: EER's Plugin Pack | Planetoid | StickMan | WhichSymbol+ | Dr Scott's Markup Renderer | CSV Filetype | dwarf horde plugins: Plugin Browser | ShapeMaker
