  1. You're putting them in File Types, right? Seems like different ones work for different people.
  2. Make a 1 or 2 pixel wide selection of the left side of the image. Use the Move Selected Pixels tool on the left center adjusting node. Stretch it to the left. ================================================= On a new layer, make a rectangular selection on the left side. Fill it with black. Apply a Linear Transparent gradient to it.
  3. You're welcome. You shouldn't have to do the reg fix again. All Effect and Adjustment plugins go in the Effects folder, yes.
  4. Close Paint.NET. You need to navigate your file system to the Effects folder. Program Files\Paint.NET\Effects ============================================== Right-click on your desktop shortcut for Paint.NET. Then click "Open File Location".
  5. Actually, no. It's the only one that's not a zip so all is good. =================================================== OK. What you just downloaded is what needs the right-click > Merge. After you do that reboot your PC. Then, left-click the dpyplugins5 zip, then left-click the folder inside the zip. (dpyplugins5) Then copy/paste the .dll files into your Effects folder. ========================================= Copy/paste the DLLs only, don't copy/paste the folder that they come in.
  6. Did you scroll down to the Default_ZIP .reg file and download it?
  7. Your screenshot shows that the plugin zip has been right-clicked. The Merge refers to the .reg file from the Default_ZIP.reg download on the Default File Associations link. ------------------------------------- Frontcannon types faster than I do.
  8. Yes. Did somebody buy the rights to the old forum links from forumer or is it a hack attack?
  9. When I right-click the .reg file Merge is at the very top of the context menu. http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/3127/merge01.png
  10. For vignetting I like to fill a new layer above the image with black, make a selection in the middle. delete, and blur heavily.
  11. Your OS file associations for .zip are screwed up. =File%20Folder%20Settings"]Restore Default File Associations
  12. You need to start with a fresh copy of the animated GIF, rename it to .agif then open it. ======================================================== So, start with the new copy, drag the file onto a blank web-browser page to be sure the animation is working, rename the extension to .agif, then open in Paint.NET.
  13. Rename the original .gif to.agif before opening it in Paint.NET. If you open it as .gif in Paint.NET it is converted to a single-layer GIF.
  14. Only our newest member. The site is burgeoning.
  15. Here's an idea for getting a Lasso Select perimeter approximation. Make the selection, then, on a new layer use Outline Selection at 1 pixel width, primary color. Deselect, run Color Count , set to Primary Color. That should give a perimeter in pixels. You might want to average the results of two layers, one with inverted selection. Be sure to put a check in the box for "Preserve canvas edges" in Outline Selection. Outline Selection Color Count ============================================================ This doesn't negate any of the concerns detailed by pyrochild in the previous post.
  16. The alternative is defined in red ink. Google is our friend.
  17. The old broken forumer links are now redirecting to : paintdotnet DOT 49 DOT forumer DOT com Edit by Rick: linking to it only encourages the spam bots Just an observation.
  18. Excerpt of the forum Rules: 8) Do not ask for older versions of Paint.NET... ... We will not provide download links for them -- you are on your own to find them (hint: try a search engine).
  19. Can you provide links to web pages that describe the effect you are referring to?
  20. The image as it comes from the camera isn't in an 8X10 aspect ratio. So, cropping to an 8X10 ratio first may help. Using Rectangular Selection, change the toolbar setting from "Normal" to "Fixed Ratio". Enter 8 and 10 in the Width and Height adjustment, as appropriate. Position and size the rectangular selection, then: Image > Crop to Selection.
  21. Congratulations, barbieq25.
  22. All of the links on - http://www.isimonbrown.co.uk/plugins-in-full-pack/ link to that same: http://paintdotnet.49.forumer.com/ ================================================ Edit: Looks like all the old broken forumer links are redirecting there now.
