  1. You want a plugin with repeatable results, not a work-around.
  2. Could you get the ghost to come back for another sitting? Those adjustment windows can be moved, just click on the top frame and drag. Maybe these links could help. Links Removed. ============================================ http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=dsgjq79_31m4mxrcgk ============================================ If the ghost picture was taken with a digital camera, and is still in the camera in its original form, it might be possible to extract it as a RAW file. This could give you a lot more image data to work with.
  3. Additional explanation/screenshots would help. It's not clear specifically what is needed.
  4. It's not clear to me what you are trying to do, perhaps you could post some explanatory screenshots. It sounds like you want to have text that is like letter-shaped holes in one image, allowing another image to show through. If this is what you want, put the letters on a new layer, and magic wand each letter while holding down the Ctrl key. Then move to the image you want the 'holes' in, and press delete. An image layer below this will show through. If that's not it, then never mind.
  5. If you want to make the image smaller by cropping out a portion, use RectangleSelectTool and Crop to Selection. :Crop: . To squash down the image, rectangle select around it, choose , then engage the top center node of your selection and move it down. This will make the image flatter, but will distort its aspect ratio. To stretch horizontally, engage a side-center node and pull sideways.
  6. I really think she looks better this way. Mirror over line... With re-mirrored neck and waistline replaced.
  7. What you have described doesn't sound like normal action for these plugins. You might try temporarily removing everything from your Effects folder except Outline.dll, Outline Object.dll and pyrochild.effects.common.dll. There might be some kind of conflict going on. Ordinarily, to get a white outline, just set the vertical slider nearest to the plugins' color wheel at the its lowest point and the slider to the right at its highest point.
  8. Even though your image in .png has transparency, it is still a rectangular image. The space for image is reserved for it and you won't be able to enter text into that space. It may be possible for someone who knows html to write you a custom blog template that has a wide overlying border layer that can be filled with an image that has both visible and transparent areas. I'm not certain that this can be done, but it seems likely. Your text could then be entered normally on the templates table layer under the border layer.
  9. @ Simon Brown: Thanks for the link. I can scroll the layers window now.
  10. To get out of wand mode choose another tool. To eliminate the selection, press Ctrl D. ================================== Press F1 and all will be revealed. It takes you here. http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/en/index.html
  11. Press the F8 key on your keyboard. https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/31884-restoring-lost-windows/
  12. ============================================== mojonesy: Nice work on your image. The sepia tone gives it that old family snapshot feel.
  13. It isn't clear to me from your post whether the site you are uploading to is saying your file has mipmaps and that's not allowed, or that you need to be able to generate mipmaps but your file doesn't have them. In any case, the save dialogue for dds in Paint.NET offers a checkbox to choose mipmaps or not. Have you tried both save types on your upload site?
  14. If your grassy pixel source is set to 140, the underlying image will show through and alter their appearance. Using full opacity 255 will avoid that. Use Normal blend mode. I've just noticed the thread title refers to single layer. Are you not stamping from one layer to another? Where the clone stamp draws its image from follows along at a fixed distance and angle to where you move the cursor. Screenshots of everything would be helpful.
  15. Paint.NET is mentioned and the Download page is linked. http://www.thecutestblogontheblock.com/ ... round.html
  16. When he says "value" he means how light or dark the color is. http://i38.tinypic.com/fxrq05.jpg
  17. If you have unused keys you might be able to remap their function to square brackets with this program. SharpKeys http://www.randyrants.com/2008/12/sharpkeys_30.html ========================================= http://i37.tinypic.com/spxc1z.jpg
  18. The gray and white checkerboard you see indicates transparency. There has to be a way of indicating it since it can't be seen, it's invisible.
  19. Yeah. Kind of blurry, but it looks like they're on the 8 and 9 keys. If you are posting from your laptop, then obviously you can make the keys work in their normal way. Don't know why they don't affect PDN as in the tutorial. It works on my desktop OK.
