  1. Nice. The one with the "real" eyes has kind of a thoughtful look.
  2. Nice chops. What's the fifth one down? You should post the top one in the Re: Real Car -> Toy Car conversion tutorial thread, as well.
  3. No. ===================== Edit - Smudge now available.
  4. Does your computer have a Paint.NET folder? ( C:\Program Files\Paint.NET )
  5. One way would be to cut the eye holes just before Step 7, and smudge some down over the holes.
  6. You could probably get the result you need with the Polar Transformations plugin. Put the text very near the bottom of a square canvas and choose : Transform rectangular to polar
  7. And will help you make something like this. Image Ok! Let's Start. 1. On 4 transparent layers using Ellipse Tool to draw outlines like in image below. (Hint: Each Ellipse on a different layer, so you can Move and/or Scale easily). Flatten Image (Hint: After flatten, you can adjust, move and/or scale the outline image as a whole) Image 2. Add new layer, & Move layer down, make shiny metal surface. There are many ways to do this. I will use Conical Gradient for the tut since it's fast and easy Image 3. Use Curves to give a better metal feel. Image 4. Use Magic Wand on the Outline layer, Then use Invert Selection, Now only the ring part is Active, Go back to the Gradient layer and use Lens(A=100~150) repeat 1 more time if you feel there is a need to. Image 5. Again, using Magic Wand on outline layer to select as below image and go back to gradient layer. And hit the delete button to erase the selection Image 6. Use the same method as above steps to select the inner part of the ring. Use Brightness/Contrast(B=60,C=20) to make this part brighter. Image 7. Use Brightness/Contrast(B=-20,C=50) on the whole ring. Image 8. Uncheck or delete Outline layer as you shouldn't be needing it anymore. Use Feather on Ring Layer, Add a background. Image Done!! Don't forget to put a Gemstone that you learned from My Gem Tut V2 & Gem Tut V1 on the ring. 8) Ideas, questions & comments welcome. Note: My image took more steps and adjustments, so keep trying!! And Post your images!!!
  8. Blowing up planets. Always fun. Thanks for the tutorial.
  9. Just to clarify. Is the roof opening light source located over the "pits of despair", and is it the same size as the floor opening? ========================================================== Edit: I suggest duplicating the interior as if the back wall was boarded over. Light it with the roof opening as the only light source, then stack the two images and play with opacity and blend modes to find a combination that gives a good gut-feel for the setting. ========================================= Are you dissatisfied with the existing shadows, or is it mainly in trying to place them in the more complex ceiling rafter area? Do you have a clear sense of how you want them to look? Or is it still a more vague sense of things presently? The existing shadows look pretty good to me. =========================================
  10. My guess is you'll need to address this through your printer's Properties dialogue.
  11. Have you removed the checkmark from - Fit picture to frame - at the bottom of the Print window?
  12. Not sure I completely understand what you're saying. The selection edges and corners can be dragged for adjustment with this.
  13. Have you gone through everything listed at this link:
  14. It's definitely difficult to avoid distortion, especially in terms of the texture. This is the best I could do. Edit-- Polar Transformation curves.
  15. Try renaming the .msi file in the Temp folder PaintDotNet_2069947587.msi, and then run it. Some people have had success this way.
  16. This is good to know. I like to use Ctrl+Shift+V as the last step when I want to add it to the .pdn I have open.
  17. Just do Save As again to see where it wants to send the file.
