  1. Oh Pixey! How wonderful those tomatoes look! Great transfer of the tute too. Bet that could work for a whole fruit bowl. I keep thinking cherries Stay safe & hopefully it will not be as severe as predicted.
  2. Wow! What a lovely outcome on the glass flowers. Way cool!
  3. Great new images! You sure have some great ideas. The pyramide is very trippy. Always lovely to see new work from you.
  4. I forgot the SHIFT bit but yes it does work. I use that method all the time.
  5. This has a fantastic drama to it in B & W. Awesome!
  6. Yep, that can be an issue. The first thing I try is to merge the bottom ones down first. However that doesn't always work either. Second option for me (usually the best) is to untick or hide all of the layers that I don't want merged. Then I pres CTRL + SHIFT + F to flatten the image. I copy the flattened image to the clipboard to to a new canvas. Then I undo the flatten, hide those that I flattened, tick or show all of the layers that I previously unticked. You can delete the flattened layers but I usually keep them in case I want to make a change. Hope this helps.
  7. Yeah, like Red said! Oh boy, this is so fabulous! The look, the feel - so much better than the tutorial. Bravo Pixey! You have outdone yourself again
  8. Heeeeeeeey, what a lovely radio! Clever idea & such smooth, schmick work. Not only is the wood great but just look at those dials - amazing! Bravo Woodsy!
  9. Lovely textures & the bird is way cool! Nice work!
  10. Wow! The old radio looks way cool! What a lot of work & detail. Just superb textures & finishes. Congratulations on the Galleria entry. Most worthy addition. Bravo Woodsy!
  11. Seerose lovely new images! Good to see you experimenting with new techniques
  12. Just beautiful Pixey! Great texture on the pear too. You are the Queen of Glass! First a duchess full of divine perfume bottles (not to mention the jewels!) then glass fruit for the dining table.
  13. Chifa Chi & her friends! What a great image. Your books make a lot of children (& adults) very happy The new glossy is so pretty! Is that a stylised dragon I see? Beautiful work Helen & so happy to see you here again. You are very much missed.
  14. Don't be so hard on yourself. They have a great atmosphere - dark & mysterious but not in an evil way. Much to see.
  15. Interesting texture & concepts esp. the first one. Nice & colourful too You do need to keep to the 800px in either direction limit, so please resize.
  16. For some reason I missed some of you images. Blaming the new forum layout Cat in the moon...WOW! You have some perfect places to relax in. Take a fishing rod...catch & release but no kissing them first. EW! You've done a great job on all of them. Very nice mix of tutes too.
  17. Congratulations Doughty! Well done Pixey (twice) Lynxster & MJW.
  18. The opal ring is adorable! Fabulous opal effect & the shape of the ring is very nice. Those diamonds really set it off well. Great work Pixey!
  19. Shochi, not everyone is online all the time. We have lives too, like family, work & study. Some are battling illness or disasters. Then there is the time difference between countries. It has nothing to do with your work. If you create work & show it here only to get people comment & applaud you then you will be disappointed. The galleries have been very quiet for a long time. Go look at other people's work & comment in their galleries. Try out some of the tutorials that people have taken so much time to create. Your work has its own unique style which you should be proud of. Your youtube video is really pretty. The colours are so pretty that I would love to see more but slower to give my old eyes more time to see them in their beauty. The music is very nice too.
  20. Lovely work on the shading. The kangaroos need a good feed We have another Aussie - yay! Those sneaky geckos - so cute. The work is very detailed & the shading add such a dimension to a very atmospheric work. Celtic yet Australian. Well done!
  21. Seerose thank you so much for the lovely comment. Doughty, what a gorgeous new sig! So polished. Here are some works for this month. I have not added the original photos for the manips. Too tedious & Imageshack is not playing nice PB is not a lot better. Southern Cross Tell me This is a rework of an earlier image. It was created in response to a work colleague needing a poster. I chose this one because learning brings us our of darkness, the tree is ageless knowledge & the Southern Cross watches over all of us down under. Luminosity This is a manip of a photo of a plant in my garden called a Burro's Tail. Honey Amber It has bee forever since I did anything like a jewel. Fish Tales Just because this one reminds me of a fish First Contact The name is a mystery - just felt that it was right for this one. Again heavy use of Jitter plugin. Diaphanous Reminds me of a book I read once about a red veil. Not sure that I really understood the book but some interesting concepts about the afterlife. Carnivale This one reminded me of a party or carnival. Jitter was my main inspiration for this piece. Alien Old Man's Beard plant that loves to grow in our garden. Laplacian Pyramid Filter & a few other plugins...Reminds me so much of HR Giger's Alien.
  22. Wow! What a stunner! That is very, very good. Helenesque because it reminds me of her beautiful glossy work. Just fabbo!
  23. Very nice video combining hobbies & interests. It made me smile too. Great work!
