  1. Just a reminder, as the rules state..... "All images must be submitted as a thumbnail link to the full size image. DO NOT POST FULL SIZE IMAGES!"
  2. No I just choose to. It keeps the thread cleaner, makes it easier for people to find the current week comp, and since I am the one who is making the thread and hosting the comp, I'm the one who is doing all the typing, and I don't mind doing so. The first time I entered the SOTW, I was kind of confused on the discussion thread because when I started at the first page of discussions, it was not about the current week's theme. So I jumped to the end of it and had to back up three or four pages to get to the start of the current week discussions. Since there are constantly new members joining this forum who might want to enter a comp, I thought it might be friendlier to have a new discussion thread every week, unless that is a comp lasts more than a week. That is a distinct possibility for some of the comps in the future. But that is a different story for another day.
  3. It looks so rusty it might disintegrate any moment! You need to call.....never mind, you're too young to remember Earl Scheib. We were born on the same day, 50 years apart.
  4. Hi Woody, I understand you may have the best of intentions, your initial post does sound like someone looking for someone else to do free work for you and your project. If we are in error of your intent, please understand that we the members of this forum have seen this kind of "request" before, so a little suspicion is understandable. If you wish to collaborate with fellow PDN'ers, feel free to check out the Competition Forum. I would be happy to have you enter one of the comps I host. Maybe after some of us get to know you a little, we might not have the same suspicions as we do presently.
  5. Careful, I think the second one may be rabid !
  6. Would it be ok to have them over a background? In other words, without tipping my hand too much, do you only want to see the two toolbars or can there be more to the image while still keeping to the two tool/box/bar/window rule?
  7. Hmmmmmm, it would seem that I forgot to add special rule #5 to this thread.
  8. Clouds? maybe a little. How much rust do you need?
  9. Did you play banjo in a Burt Reynolds movie? My bank account number is........... Sorry, I just haven't gotten to it yet. I just posted it on Fan's forum a few minutes ago. I made it for Chris's DA group gallery SH Fans. I may post it on here, but then again, I could be up to no good. WOW your mirror is AWESOME !
  10. I've just gone through your gallery after not being here in a while. Wow you have added some really great stuff. You have a great way with text. I really like your text sigs and logos. The one, Bling Bling text is awesome as is your gallery banner! I always liked your red white and blue sig you had in the SOTW comp a while back. I thought it should have won. Your Mac style Windows wallpaper is just stunning. The color scheme is beautiful. I also like your fractal pieces. I love using Apophysis. What version do you use? I am running the beta 2.09 and really like it. Keep up the good work, your style is very very good. Nice clean lines and good color choices.

  24. We are counting down the last couple of days before the first ever Abstract of the Week comp ends. I want to take a moment to thank everyone who entered, Pyrochild for being the force behind the creation of the comps forums, and the other comp hosts who have taken their time to get a comp going and thus increasing interest in this forum and ultimately Paint.net, and finally Rick and his team for creating this awesome program. I think this first week have been a huge success and I hope that we will continue to host some really fun and challenging comps. Everyone needs to have an idea for the next week's comp. I've decided that we will continue the same tradition that we have had in the WOTW and award the winner the chance to call the next theme. The winner will also have the honor of having their entry used as the comp thread banner. I'm also working on another little surprise for you guys, in fact two, but you'll have to wait to see what it is. One last thing, if there is anyone who is working on a piece to enter, we have 9 entries and I would love to have 10 ! Make sure you let everyone know about the comp so we can have a lot of votes. Thanks everyone !
