  1. Like David said, both has its strength and weakness. The real question is: how useful is both software to you?
  2. Hmm...whenever I use the multicolor gradient, it always, by default, shows rainbow pattern color. The color range, I agree, do require some fiddling. As for the codelab, it just shows code, but no screen shot, so how was I supposed to know it's supposed to be a rainbow gradient?
  3. That is because we do not have those kind of tools yet.
  4. Forgive me if I sounded goofy, but if you recommended the other plugin, should not the attachment in the first post be removed to prevent confusion?
  5. You are asking something that can easily be done using Microsoft Word or another word processing software. Paint.NET is a graphic program, not a word processor.
  6. One night, I had an accidental experimentation, and I realized you could use S3D to render a near perfect anti-aliased text. Type your text at it's biggest size if you want, run S3D, Box option, turn off all faces except for the "front." Play with the x, y, z coordinates and then run anti-alias at about 3. It should clear up the jaggies in no time flat.
  7. Here's a couple of plugins that might do the trick you are looking for: Toon Filter Toon Shader
  8. David, do you think that using gradient blur would make the steps that involves creating an alpha masking obsolete? I had been told that gradient blur does the same trick as a blur and masking technique in which you employed. Your thoughts?
  9. New image added. I was challenged by Welshblue to make prism, and this is probably going to be a first in a series of prism test image. Enjoy.
  10. I am reminded of how Nemo made his rose, and how some have accused him of stealing photographs and passing it out as PDN work. Well, yellowman, you have certainly showed that it is entirely possible to create something in PDN using reference, of course. Well done.
  11. I am not disagreeing with you that it would be an awesome feature for sure. Just want you to be aware that it is only Rick that is doing the programming and coding of PDN, and it may be a long time before it is available.
  12. I have read the other thread that you was so kind to link to, and it just seem that we will be dancing in circle again. I would follow Rick's suggestion in that thread and crop to your desired size. If it is not doing it for you, then I would suggest you reevaluate how PDN may not be useful to you in this regard. I am sure there are plenty of other free photo editing software out there for you to play with.
  13. You are welcome. If you need a more detailed guide, I would like to point you to an excellent guide written by a moderator, and I think you may find it extremely helpful. It was a huge help for me when I first came on this board. Welcome to the forum, and hope you will open a gallery soon.
  14. Are you talking about adding a signature? To do so, you will need to upload your image to an image hosting site, Photobucket or ImageShack are two examples, (please bear in mind to read the forum rule on the maximum signature size before you upload), and go to the User Control Panel, click on Profile, and click on Signature. Fetch the URL of your signature and enclose it within the tag.
  15. First to download it. I'll see if I can find a use for it. Looks very promising.
  16. Thank you everybody. I added another piece that I called, "Rainbow Pills."
  17. Janettsue, it is great to see your work again, albeit it be from 2007, and you are sorely missed from Fans. I hope you will grace us with your presence there.
  18. I believe it has already been answered once. Try to convert the PDF file as a PNG image file by right-clicking on the PDF icon, and click on Rename. When you type, change from .pdf extension to .png. Open the .png file in PDN, and extract your image you are after.
  19. game_freak, that wasn't very helpful at all. @original poster, that looks like light rays (you can download it as a part of Madjik's plugin pack), and the rest seem to be custom brushes. Search for it on the web.
  20. New image added, ladies and gentlemen of PDN. I noticed the shadow of the glass moved...odd...must be the tube oblique..
  21. Have you tried, on a new layer, to use black to transparent gradient? If not, here what you can do: select black as your primary color, and secondary color as transparent by clicking "More>" on the color palette, and slide the alpha slider all the way down to zero. Use linear gradient and fade out your daughter picture. Let me know if this works.
