  1. This is going to be a promising plug-in. My only suggestion is to add an anti-alias option, and I'm basing it on an observation of the images you have posted. I haven't downloaded it or played with it yet. It should work pretty fast on my Win7 laptop with a i5 core and 6 GB of RAM.
  2. I have a question. Would it be possible to add a x and y coordinate to move the lightning bolt around instead of a static position? It looks like a very promising plug-in, something I may use in a project I'm currently working on, and this will come in handy.
  3. The color is truly soothing, calming even, and this might be the "tonic" I need to look at when I need to unwind after a long day at work. The red planet's texture is absolutely breathtaking, I can see concrete effect, and that's a bit unusual in a planet. Then again, space holds a lot of surprise for us on this terrain ball. I do agree with CSM that the glow line needs a bit of curve, but not too much of a curve. It should be subtle, but our eyes can detect it. Maybe, and I'm going out on a limb here, use Tube Oblique to pull that effect. I think the bottom planet could use a bit of "depth of field" blur if it hasn't already been done.
  4. Sozo, It's good to see you are posting space scape. I don't care if your gallery is chock full of space scape, and not many people do it as well as you do, so keep at it. Couple of things: I think the texture is too repetitious, and maybe a bit of sharpening with Sharpen+ or one of BoltBait's plug-in (Enhance Portrait, or something like it). Second, the planet on the bottom seem to repeat the same texture, and I think a bit of different style would add element of intrigue to your already awesome work. Those are just my thoughts, and you can ignore them if you think I'm wrong.
  5. You must have inadvertently kit some keyboard combination to bring up the line tool, if I'm understanding you right. Unfortunately, you will have to retype your text. You could download and install Simon Brown's Re-editable Text plug-in to avoid this kind of problem in the future.
  6. Working really hard for that GE award this year, eh, MadJik? Man, you keep outdoing yourself, and this is definitely going into my Plug-in Directory. What will you think up next? Now, with Magnifier and Perlin Texture working in tandem....
  7. My question is, have you ever tried to save your image file as PNG? I prefer it over JPEG since it's a lossy file, whereupon PNG is a lossless file.
  8. OOOOOO! Me like it! Me will download it! Thank you a bunch for it! Edit: I immediately saw it being able to help me make more realistic glass distortion when I saw your model picture. Excellent plug-in, and it'll save me considerable time. *time to update one of my tutorials once again* See what it can do?
  9. Bruce, any chance of adding a screen shot of the UI? This plug-in pack will actually give me the incentive to purchase a new computer with Win 7 installed, or do some serious hardware upgrading along with a fresh installation of Win 7 to save the money.
  10. A forum member, david.atwell, wrote a tutorial called "The Wonderful World of Gradient Mapping." Check it out and see if that will help you out.
  11. Way to go, Rick, it's about time you showed him, you have all of us behind you and rooting you on. Right, guys?
  12. I wonder if you have given Expand Border plug-in by Simon Brown a look. I don't think it might address your question, but I thought I would give it to you anyway.
  13. Again, as Sarkut said above me, you can use any of the tools with antialiasing turned off as APshredder said. My question to you is this: what purpose are you trying to acheive? It sounds to me now, after rereading this thread for the 3rd time, that you are trying to create pixel art. If so, there are excellent tutorials on the web on how to make pixels image, we have Pixel Art umbrella in the Pictorium, and a competition for pixel arts. Also, I believe there might be a tutorial on pixel art, but I am not 100% certain. Maybe I am jumping the gun here, but I do hope you will follow some of the tips given to you here. Happy PDNing!
  14. You could try MadJik's Buttons plug-in. But, if you really want to master gloss or shine effect, a member here wrote a very good, but challenging tutorial. It's called Glossy Galaxy Ball tutorial.
  15. Wow, you have been busy, MadJik. That's great and I can't wait to update all of my plug-ins with yours. By the way, I couldn't find the page for Over Liner Effect, I was curious what it was, and what it did. It seem that it's missing a post number.
  16. Let's not hijack CSM's tutorial. It's a very good one, and I would use his tutorial as a spring board, and with some of my tips thrown in. See what you come up with.
  17. I don't know if having a tutorial sections just for signature really warrants a subforum. If you need to, I would install PDN OpenSearch Custom Toolbar Search (whew, long name), and then type in "signature tutorial," and I'm sure you will find the tutorials you may need to read through. I just ran the search, and it returned quite an extensive list of tutorials.
  18. In addition to what Sarkut said, I would use pencil tool since it does precisely what you are seeking to do.
  19. Here you go, ctkim. Read thoroughly, and if you still have questions, keep on asking.
  20. Interesting as in... I find that using alpha-displacement gives a more glassy appearance. Thanks to xmario's glass orb tutorial, I had been using Gaussian blur to make the transparent not completely uniform, yet giving it the appearance of transparency. Median was used once, and the white highlight were elliptical then deleted with the text selected, and blurred around 50 pixels, much better than using the transparent gradients.
  21. Hey CSM, I used a totally different method to make my text in my sig different. One trick I find very useful is to use alpha-displacement on a transparent bevel layer.
  22. *smacks forehead* I completely forgot about that. I have gotten so used to doing it the long way around.
  23. Very close, indeed, Welshy. The difference is the use of alpha-mask so that the trail part doesn't "stretch" the texture like it did with your proof-of-concept.
