  1. I don't think it is configurable. I would suggest you try to calibrate your monitor. I have no problem seeing the selection it's done. I often forget to deselect.
  2. aguba, I just had a quick play with PDN to see if I could make a 3D object...I found that it is the Outline Object making it aliased. So, what I have always done is use Outline Object with the radius set at 1, and then CTRL+F as many times as needed; or, use Drop Shadow and set the x,y to 0,1. And repeat as many times. Personally, I like using Drop Shadow the best because it is not as aliased as the other one. As for my glass works, check out my gallery. Edit: I had a quick play with PDN to see if I can see how to conquer the aliasing problem. I got to say no, I haven't. The only thing I can say is to work on 2x or 3x your size before resizing down to final size. I started mine at 1600x1200 canvas before resizing.
  3. New works added. The first image was an adaption of david.atwell's Tilt Shift tutorial and then a simulation of how glass interacts with photograph. The second is yet another glass block added to my collection of obsessions with glass. I just love making glass!
  4. aguba, that is just beautiful! I like. I know there's aliasing, but it can be fixed if it was started at a big image, and resized before you saved it as a png file. I really need to get cracking with 3D...I keep getting sidetracked by all the glass work I had been making. :? Edit: Quick question: are you using pyrochild's Outline Object set at 90 degree angle? I find that if you start with a small value and repeat (CTRL+F) several times, it might make the aliasing disappear. Thoughts?
  5. Oma has given you a good tip. The Grid/Checkerboard plugin made by MadJik is one way to create an alignment guide. You could also fiddle with the Rotate/Zoom tool to create perspective on the layer that holds the alignment guide.
  6. It is also very possible they may have used healing brush tool which is something PDN does not have. theonlychad has given you an alternative tool, clone stamp, to help you out. Also, if you wish to learn more about how to work a model's face, check this viewtopic.php?p=232084 out.
  7. The marching ants animation that has graced v 3.36 has been eliminated in v3.5, and now uses Xor blending. The reason: it saves the computer from having to work too hard. There's no way to bring that one back. Give yourself some time and it'll grow on you.
  8. Alternatively, you could on the background layer use this keyboard short cut CTRL+A to select the whole image, and then press delete. Make a triangle on a new layer. Either way works. And yes, save it as PNG file.
  9. Oh, I have. It is unbelievable. Perhaps we should show them how PDN can blow PS out of the water, eh?
  10. Just wanted to drop by and tell you how much I really like this work. I haven't seen 3D work on this forum in a long time, and it was refreshing to see this. Also glad to see you are still posting on the board. As for your method, I find that using drop shadow or pryochild's outline object will work. I got inspired to make a 3D project. Thanks for the inspiration!
  11. After I read through all the posts, I realized nobody has requested one more blending option, if it is doable at all, and that's called, "Soft Light." Any way this could be implemented? I am totally enjoying your plug-in, my friend. This is an excellent plug-in.
  12. Jerry, look for a cloud plugin written by a user named Specot. It is close to how you can make realistic cloud. It's in the plugin section. Edit: Gave link for you. Edit 2: Also, when making cloud for planets, don't use S3D because it will make it look flat, instead use either bulge or lens and select the planet's layer for the selection, and delete outside the circle of the cloud. Then you'll have to experiment on how realistic you want. Many layers = realism.
  13. 1) Get the Grid Maker that was provided by the above poster's link, but make the secondary color completely transparent for visual aid. 2) Deselect the clipboard content by pressing CTL+D simultaneously, then use the Align Object plugin to center the image in the document. 3) You could use BoltBait's Flip selection plugin from his plugin pack. Or you could search for Mirror/Rotate plugin which has the option of rotating by different angles. Good luck.
  14. How did I make my sig? By being creative and ignoring the trend to slap on render like most of the artists here do. As for writing a tutorial, nope, not going to do it. I like being original. Anyway, I have updated and orgainzed my gallery. Enjoy them folks.
  15. And to add on with what he said, to "rip" Photoshop brushes, you're going to need abrViewer. Search for it on this forum.
  16. And here's a wild thought: make one of your own. Don't follow others, think outside of the box, and create something!
  17. zurko45 and Genius, Leif is correct, this has already been brought up in the Popular Request thread. Second, the Ribbon interface has been discussed before with some users for and against the interface change. What do you say we just stick with what we have and be thankful that Rick has put in hard work into the development of a brilliant program for free? By the way, Genius, there's only person programming Paint.NET.
  18. You could try changing the size of the line while the selection is still active. Alternatively, you could try Ash's tapered line tutorial. You could always distort the line with Sine Wave plugin.
  19. On a new layer of your image, make a line (any thickness will do), and with the line still active (there will be 4 nubs), grab one of the nub, right click and hold, then shape it. It will give you a nice curvy line.
  20. Down as a good idea there, and maybe you could try to use a transparent gradient, and fade the half of the image you wish to "delete."
  21. We have already had several locked topics for requests. Doesn't that tell you something, flip? There's already a written rule, #23 if I recall, about solicting for help. Then there's the Image Hospital in the Pictorium for some help.
  22. @203, several months ago some users had asked how to expand/shrink a selection. This tip by Ash is very helpful. Give it a shot.
  23. Could you possibly post screenshots of what you are attempting to do? Your problem sounds too vague to understand. It may be you have your images in one layer rather than in separate layers. It also sounds like you could use some blending adjustments, but until we have a better idea of what you are trying to do, I would encourage you to post screenshot.
