I agree with this image, it looks great, it kind of looks like a moon rock texture if you were to wrap it around with some shape3d.

I am guessing you are using vista, and for that reason, you will need to follow these steps to fix the problem...

Nice update, I can see you took my advice I like your use of the kaleidoscope plugin, try using that gradient checkbox and see how that turns out

about your sig, those smilies really look like aliens especially this one: and

nice skyscraper looks great, one suggestion though for the text saying "pirates yarr", use the shortcut ctrl + shift + z and then use that ball looking thing in the popup window and you can change the angle of the text, that will give it a better effect for going with the 3D pixel art. nice job!
