  1. Confirmed. The sample code doesn't fly. I don't know that this is the fault of the double vector control. The error I get is: cannot implicitly convert 'int' to 'PaintDotNet.Pair<double, double>' (@BoltBait: Can the error window contents be copied? They seem to be able to be highlighted, just not copied via normal means)
  2. Hi McAwesomeSauce, Welcome to the forum. I've edited your thread title to comply with Rule #6. Please read the forum rules - they make everything here run so much smoother Good luck with porting the tutorial.
  3. The Plugin Index holds a list of plugins if you want to search for them by name (link in my signature). Otherwise, http://searchpaint.net/ should find them for you. Median and Remove Noise are not plugins, they are part of Paint.Net. As they are always installed, there is no need to search for them. A list of effects and adjustments that come built in to Paint.Net can be found here: http://forums.getpai...p?/topic/13783- Post a link to your image in this thread. One of the forum users might come up with a specific solution for your damaged image. You never know...,
  4. Engage your inner sleuth here: www.identifont.com
  5. Question: Are you using a dual-monitor setup? If so, read this: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/18968-shape3d-2007-08-24/page__view__findpost__p__189986
  6. All the supplied filters are functional, and the 'build effect' also seems to be working. So, as all seems to be well with this plugin..., <Moved to Plugins forum>
  7. Paint.Net is sufficiently awesome in it's own right. Plugins just extend that awesomeness . You don't really need to worry about plugins until you come to a point where Paint.Net's tools don't do the job for you. Most tutorials list the plugins required - so following a handful of tutorials will give you a feel for which plugins are most likely to be useful to you. The best plugins are pinned to the top of the Plugin forum. Camera distortion: 'new camera' is the solution - why create problems for yourself persisting with something that causes you angst?
  8. Pretty much the same situation as buying a book. Doing so does not confer the right to rip sections out of the book for your own novel.
  9. Are you sure you have this file installed in the correct place: pyrochild.effects.REQUIRED.dll? I think you may have an old version (pyrochild.effects.common.dll) installed.
  10. Purchasing it does not give you the right to disassemble it and use the code. Fractalius is subject to copyright, so you're able to use it and THAT IS ALL. If you violate the copyright you're in serious trouble...., If you want to recreate a fractalius type effect, there is a link to a mini tutorial in this thread: So called fractals.
  11. qwertyuu: Don't make a tutorial just for the sake of it. That's not the right motivation at all DEFINITELY don't make a 'space' tut unless it is ORIGINAL. We already have loads of them...., ...just a friendly reminder
  12. The tiling can be done. I don't recall any tools that would automate the rotations.
  13. The last post was over two years ago. I really doubt vaudois is still looking for an answer to this problem. Please read The Rules. Especially items #11 and #22. <locked> Edit: Tag-team moderating - pyrochild got there first.
  14. Here's a wonderful (downloadable PDF) introduction to C# http://www.robmiles.com/c-yellow-book/ At the same site you'll find an 'Orange book' on CSharp from Java - you might find that worth downloading & reading too.
  15. There is also the four-fingered salute: press F5, F6, F7 & F8 simultaneously. Repeat the process to make the four windows visible again. For those of you who love Red Dwarf, I'm going to start referring to this simultaneous key combination as the 'Single Rimmer'. To make it into a 'Double Rimmer', perform two loops of the hand from the wrist before hitting the keys with a flourish.
  16. RE: Bump map. Try looking up 'Normal Map' and see if that comes close.
  17. Mea culpa . Seems to have been an issue with the system I was on. Apologies.
  18. December update. Nothing new unless you count spelling errors and one filetype plugin missing from the list of filetypes (updated the list). For anyone interested, I've added an alphabetical list of plugins as a PDF to the first post. I use this list as a quick reference list when looking up plugins & thought others might find it useful. I'm not going to apologise for the included formatting
  19. Post this question in the thread related to the plugin.
  20. The link in the first post is working (where it says "click here to view"). Transient internet problems....,
  21. Windows 7 - 64 bit. Seriously, you're putting a large load on the system with this selection in an image that size. Your system should be able to handle it, but the OS is probably holding you back.
